Gabi Grecko 'is unlikely to inherit any money from Geoffrey Edelsten'

Gabi Grecko has hinted she’s unlikely to get any money from her late husband Geoffrey Edelsten because he was in such a dire financial situation when he died.

The New York-based model, 32, suggested she may not have a claim to Edelsten’s estate after an Instagram troll accused her on Tuesday of only posting about the late businessman on social media because she was after his fortune.

‘It’s interesting that you didn’t speak about him for years, had other relationships and yet now you’re posting about him non-stop and saying you still love him and were still married?

Make it make sense,’ the troll commented, alongside a string of dollar-sign emojis.

Grecko responded: ‘You don’t know s**t about my relationship with Geoff.

Just because it wasn’t in the news, mawarqq doesn’t mean we didn’t speak. And he was in debt.’

She added: ‘F**king dumb b**ch, money is the last thing on my mind. I just lost one of the biggest influences in my life so you can shut the hell up.’

‘How dare you. Okay, I’m a public figure but you’re a human being – act like one. Make that make sense. My husband just died. Stay off my page. So mean and unneeded. Disappointed in people.’

Grecko and Edelsten married at a Melbourne registry office in June 2015 – when he was 72 and she was 26 – before announcing their separation just months later.

The Allied Medical Group founder was found dead at the age of 78 by a cleaner at his Melbourne apartment on Friday, June 11 – which coincidentally was the anniversary of his wedding to Grecko.

For the last three years of Edelsten’s life, the couple – who were separated but, according to Grecko, not legally divorced – lived in different countries, with Edelsten based in Australia while Grecko resided in New York City.

The death of Edelsten, who had been declared bankrupt in Australia and the U.S., revealed a messy financial and personal situation, with multiple parties expected to make a claim on his estate.

One of those people is his former U.S.

business partner Rafael ‘Alfie’ Mawardi, whom Edelsten met at Mawardi’s House of Nurielle fashion boutique in Las Vegas when his then-wife Brynne Gordon bought an $8,500 lace jumpsuit in the store.

The meeting with Mawardi led to Edelsten investing more than $20million into House of Nureille, two apartment complexes in the U.S., a jet and a casino in the Dominican Republic.

But Mawardi said he never saw a cent from Edelsten.

‘I’m sure there is still money out there,’ he told the .

‘He had all the cars, he had 10 to 15 cars – are you going to tell me that it all just disappeared?

‘I think that now that he has passed away, I have legal rights to go after him.’
