DHSC
The Department of Health and Social Care is in the process of launching an experimental medical cannabis pilot program in the Isle of Man. The scheme will work in partnership with local pharmacies to import and distribute Cannabis Based Medicinal Products (CBMPs), to patients with certain conditions. The order includes a number of changes to the 2001 Regulations which include changing the Schedule to the 2001 Regulations. Regulations 6 and 7(b) move cannabis-based products from Schedule 1 to Schedule 2. This change allows certain activities that were otherwise banned under the 2015 Order.
