आईफोन के लिए नौजवानों की लगी लंबी कतारें काफी कुछ सोचने पर मजबूर करती हैं। जहां एक ओर इन युवाओं की चिंता अपने रोजगार और भविष्य को लेकर होनी चाहिए, वहीं वे आईफोन खरीदने के लिए घंटों-घंटों लाइन में लग रहे हैं। ऐसा लगता है कि उन्हें नौकरी से ज्यादा जरूरत फोन की है। इससे यह भी पता चलता है कि नई पीढ़ी प्रिंट मीडिया से दूर होती जा रही है। किताबों को तो छोड़ ही दीजिए, दैनिक अखबार भी उन्हें फोन पर ही पढ़ना है। मगर इसको अखबार पढ़ना तो नहीं ही कह सकते हैं।

फोन के लिए लगी ऐसी कतारें हमारे समाज में अनैतिकता और अशिष्टता के बढ़ते ग्राफ को भी प्रदर्शित करती हैं। युवाओं में ये शिकायतें होती हैं कि परीक्षा में पास नहीं हो सके, बेरोजगार हैं, परंतु यदि फोन का उनमें ऐसा जुनून है, तो परिणाम नकारात्मक ही होंगे। जितने पैसे वे

आईफोन खरीदने में जाया कर रहे हैं, उससे वे अपने माता-पिता या किसी जरूरतमंद को खुशी देने के लिए काफी काम कर सकते हैं। काश, युवाओं की ऐसी दीवानगी पुस्तकों के लिए होती, तो हमारे समाज और देश की तस्वीर अब तक बदल चुकी होती !

बचपन में राशन की दुकान के बाहर लोगों की लाइन देखी, फिर गैस सिलेंडर, रेलवे टिकट के लिए लंबी-लंबी लाइन देखी। कॉलेज में थे, तो एंप्लॉयमेंट एक्सचेंज में नाम लिखवाने के लिए लंबी लाइनों में नौजवानों को खड़े देखा। मगर अब आईफोन 17 के लिए दिल्ली, मुंबई, बेंगलुरु, लखनऊ में भीड़ का जुटना कर गया। कहीं-कहीं तो भीड़ इतनी अराजक हो गई कि मारपीट तक शुरू हो गई। यहां यह समझने की भूल मत हैरान

कीजिएगा कि जीएसटी घटने की वजह से आईफोन की कीमतें काफी कम हो गई हैं, क्योंकि इस फोन की शुरुआती कीमत ही 80 हजार रुपये से अधिक है। सवा लाख, डेढ़ लाख रुपये में यह फोन आ रहा है। बहुत महंगी चीजों के प्रति विरक्ति रखने के कारण मैं महंगे मोबाइलों पर ध्यान नहीं देती, लेकिन इस फोन को लेकर लोगों में जो नशा है, टशन है, दिखावा है, वह चौंकाता है। इस पर समाजशास्त्रीय अध्ययन की दरकार है।

हैं। पर विडंबना यह है कि 20 साल के नौजवान, जो अभी करियर में जम नहीं सके हैं, वे भी इस भेड़चाल में शामिल यानी, पिता की पॉकेट से या ईएमआई हर चीज हासिल करने वाली युवा पीढ़ी आईफोन 17 के लिए पागल हुए जा रही है। इसे देखकर आखिर कौन कहेगा कि भारत गरीब देश है?
