ग्रेट निकोबार परियोजना से आत्मनिर्भर बनेगा भारत
भारत सरकार अंडमान और निकोबार के ग्रेट निकोबार द्वीप पर एक बड़ा इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर प्रोजेक्ट बना रही है, जिसका नाम ‘ग्रेट निकोबार प्रोजेक्ट’ है। इसका मकसद पोर्ट, एयरपोर्ट, टाउनशिप और पावर प्लांट बनाकर देश की सुरक्षा, व्यापार और कनेक्टिविटी को मजबूत करना है।
यह प्रोजेक्ट अंडमान और निकोबार के सबसे दक्षिणी द्वीप ‘ग्रेट निकोबार’ पर बन रहा है।
इसकी कुल अनुमानित लागत लगभग 72,000 से 92,000 करोड़ रुपये के बीच है।
इसे पूरा करने के लिए 30 साल का लक्ष्य रखा है, जिसका पहला चरण 2025-2035 तक चलेगा।
यहां पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय कंटेनर ट्रांसशिपमेंट पोर्ट बनेगा, जो बड़े मालवाहक जहाजों को संभालेगा।
अनुमान है कि 2040 तक इस प्रोजेक्ट से सालाना 30,000 करोड़ की कमाई हो सकती है।
सामरिक दृष्टि से यह प्रोजेक्ट हिंद महासागर में भारत की ‘आंख और कान’ बनेगा।
यहां बनने वाला अंतरराष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट नागरिक और सैन्य उद्देश्यों के लिए इस्तेमाल होगा।
आधुनिक टाउनशिप बसाई जाएगी, जिसमें पर्यटन और व्यापार की सुविधाएं होंगी।
द्वीप की जरूरतों के लिए गैस और सोलर आधारित हाइब्रिड पावर प्लांट लगाया जाएगा।
ग्रेट निकोबार ‘शोम्पेन’ और ‘निकोबारी’ जैसी दुर्लभजनजातियों का घर है।
जनजातियों के संरक्षण के लिए विशेष नीतियां (2004 और 2015 की पॉलिसी) लागू रहेंगी।
यह प्रोजेक्ट सफल हुआ तो भारत हिंद महासागर में मजबूत ताकत बन जाएगा।
The Government of India is undertaking a major infrastructure initiative on Great Nicobar Island in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago, known as the ‘Great Nicobar Project.’ Its objective is to bolster the nation’s security, trade, and connectivity through the development of a port, an airport, a township, and a power plant.
This project is being developed on ‘Great Nicobar,’ the southernmost island of the Andaman and Nicobar group.
The total estimated cost of the project ranges between approximately ₹72,000 crore and ₹92,000 crore.
A 30-year timeline has been set for its completion, with the first phase scheduled to run from 2025 to 2035.
An International Container Transshipment Port will be established here, capable of handling large cargo vessels.
It is estimated that by 2040, this project could generate an annual revenue of ₹30,000 crore.
From a strategic perspective, this project will serve as India’s ‘eyes and ears’ in the Indian Ocean region.
The international airport to be constructed here will cater to both civilian and military purposes.
A modern township will be developed, featuring facilities designed to support tourism and trade.
To meet the island’s energy requirements, a hybrid power plant utilizing both gas and solar energy will be installed.
Great Nicobar is home to indigenous communities such as the ‘Shompen’ and ‘Nicobarese.’
Special policies (specifically the policies of 2004 and 2015) will remain in force to ensure the conservation and protection of these tribal communities.
If successfully executed, this project will establish India as a formidable power within the Indian Ocean region.
