‘Hi my name is Takisha Pollard I am Jyedon’s mum,’ she wrote.

‘As many of you know my two-year old son Jyedon was tragically killed last week here in Cowra. I am raising money to have a Sky banner for the day of Jyedon’s funeral to fly above in the sky, This would mean the absolute world for me to do this for my son.

‘Any help would be more than appreciated.’

The fundraiser has a goal to raise $5,000 and includes a photo of Jyedon as a baby.

The online page has been shared by Jyedon’s aunt Tearna O’Hanlon, the sister of the toddler’s father.

A separate fundraiser set up by Takisha’s aunt Kylie Pollard Walker set up five days have already raised almost $12,000 for a memorial service.

It comes after Jyedon’s devastated father revealed his pain at losing his ‘best little mate’.

Brayden O’Hanlon, 24, received news of the fatal dog attack that killed his two-year-old son Jyedon Pollard from his sister while awaiting trial behind bars.

The heartbroken dad was released from prison on compassionate grounds on Friday night after he was put on suicide watch.

Mr O’Hanlon said he was grateful to be surrounded by loved ones as he grapples with the loss of his little boy, who was fatally savaged last Tuesday.

‘I’m just so lost and numb… He was my best little mate,’ he told the

He last spent time with Jyedon on October 19 when he was remanded in custody over charges including car theft, breaking and entering, assault, and larceny.

Mr O’Hanlon was due to return to court in November 23 when he hoped he might be granted bail and be reunited with his young son.

Jyedon was tragically killed last Tuesday when he was attacked by a Rottweiler and a cattle dog at Cowra’s Country Gardens Motor Inn in the NSW central-west.

The animals ripped at Jyedon’s face and neck, causing lethal injuries, before he was dragged free by motel owner Matt McIIIhatton, who rushed the toddler to hospital alongside his mother.

The little boy died from his injuries several hours later.

Police confirmed the two dogs were euthanised and the investigation into the death is ongoing.

Officers will probe claims the toddler was playing with the dogs in an enclosed yard area behind the motel when the attack took place.

However, Jyedon’s family rubbished those claims, saying the animals suddenly burst out from the gate and attacked the boy in the ‘split second’ his mother left.

‘Jyedon was riding his electric scooter (https://frontrangefirm.com/personal-injury/denver-scooter-accident-lawyer/damages-from-a-scooter-accident-in-denver-colorado) out the front of their room and Kesha went inside to get him a drink,’ Jyedon’s uncle Robert said.

‘In that split second, the dogs have either jumped over the gate or run out after it was left open and attacked Jyedon.’

Mother of three Ms Pollard had been living at the motel temporarily with Jyedon and one of her two daughters, Aaliyah, 9, and Tahaleaha, 5, as they waited to move into a new Housing Department home.

Mr O’Hanlon is Jyedon and Tahaleaha’s father but the couple are understood to have since split up.

The 24-year-old must adhere to strict conditions, including a night curfew, after his lawyers successfully applied for his temporary release from jail.

Mr O’Hanlon received news of his son’s death during a phone call with his sister Tearna who said she had concerns for her brother while he was behind bars.

‘He’s not doing too good,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

As heartbroken loved ones struggle to come to terms with the tragedy, Jydeon’s uncle Jake said his devastated sister ‘doesn’t know what to do’.

‘She just wants her son back,’ he said.
