नया लोकेशन अपडेट आया
गूगल क्रोम ने एंड्रॉइड यूजर के लिए नया प्राइवेसी फीचर जारी किया है। अब वेबसाइट को यूजर की सटीक जीपीएस लोकेशन नहीं मिलेगी, बल्कि केवल अनुमानित लोकेशन दिखाई देगी। यूजर चाहें तो सटीक लोकेशन भी शेयर कर सकते हैं। गूगल का कहना है कि यह बदलाव यूजर की प्राइवेसी को सुरक्षित रखने के लिए किया गया है। आने वाले समय में यह फीचर डेस्कटॉप क्रोम में भी लाया जाएगा।
डीएम एन्क्रिप्शन में बदलाव
मेटा इंस्टाग्राम पर एंड-टू-एंड एन्क्रिप्शन फीचर हटाने जा रहा है, जिससे कंपनी को कुछ डायरेक्ट मैसेज तक पहुंच मिल सकती है। यह बदलाव शुक्रवार से लागू होने की बात कही जा रही है। हालांकि, बहुत कम यूजर्स ने यह फीचर इस्तेमाल किया था। प्राइवेसी एक्सपर्ट का कहना है कि यह कदम डिजिटल सुरक्षा से जुड़े नए कानूनों के बीच उठाया गया है। इससे यूजर की चैट प्राइवेसी पर असर पड़ सकता है।
Google Chrome has rolled out a new privacy feature for Android users. Now, websites will no longer receive a user’s precise GPS location; instead, they will only be shown an approximate location. Users do, however, have the option to share their precise location if they choose to do so. Google states that this change has been implemented to safeguard user privacy. In the near future, this feature is also expected to be introduced to the desktop version of Chrome.
Changes to DM Encryption
Meta is set to remove the end-to-end encryption feature on Instagram, a move that could potentially grant the company access to certain Direct Messages. Reports suggest that this change is scheduled to take effect starting Friday. However, it is noted that very few users had actually utilized this feature. Privacy experts suggest that this step has been taken in light of new laws pertaining to digital security. This could have implications for the privacy of user chats.
