सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने राहुल गांधी के बयानों पर आपत्ति जताई है, लेकिन सवाल यह है कि क्या देश की माननीय अदालत ऐसी तल्ख और हास्यास्पद टिप्पणियां उन लोगों के बारे में भी कर सकती है, जो संसद में

असत्य बोलते हैं और इस देश के नव-निर्माण की नींव रखने वाले जननायकों को खलनायक बताने में रत्ती भर संकोच नहीं करते? राहुल गांधी जब बोलते हैं, तो वह सत्ता पक्ष को चुभते हैं। इसी कारण, उनकी छोटी से छोटी बात भी अदालत तक पहुंच जाती है। अगर मेरी याददाश्त सही है, तो राहुल गांधी ने पूरे तथ्यों के साथ चीनी घुसपैठ की बात कही थी। और, उन्होंने जो कुछ कहा था, उसे उनसे पहले लद्दाख से भाजपा के तत्कालीन सांसद ने भी कहा था। सैटेलाइट तस्वीरों से भी इसकी पुष्टि की बात कही गई थी। चूंकि सत्ता पक्ष राहुल गांधी के सत्य से परेशान है, इसलिए उनको अदालतों में

घसीट रहा है। यहां तक कि अदालती फैसले को ढाल बनाकर उनको लोकसभा से निकाल दिया गया था। मगर जनता ने उन्हें अपना समर्थन दिया और राहुल फिर से संसद में लौट आए। साफ है, सत्य परेशान हो सकता है, पराजित नहीं।

और डैनियल जिब्लैट ने लिखी है। यह किताब बताती है कि कैसे लोकतांत्रिक प्रक्रिया से चुने हुए नेता अपनी ताकत बढ़ाने और सत्ता को नियंत्रित करने के लिए लोकतांत्रिक प्रक्रियाओं को कमजोर करते हैं। इसमें विभिन्न देशों के ऐसे उदाहरणों का हवाला दिया गया है, जहां ‘आपसी सहिष्णुता’ का पतन हुआ, साथ ही विपक्ष की ‘राजनीतिक वैधता’ के प्रति ‘सम्मान’ भी कम होता गया। लेखकों ने इसमें बताया है कि सत्ता पक्ष विपक्षी दलों के नेताओं के किसी भी सवाल को देशभक्ति से जोड़ देता है और इसे देश पर हमला करार देते हुए बताता है कि यदि वे लोग सत्ता में आएंगे, तो देश को बर्बाद कर देंगे! इस किताब को पढ़ने से आपको पता चलेगा कि कुछ ऐसा ही काम अपने देश में भी हो रहा है। मौजूदा दौर की इससे बेहतर व्याख्या शायद ही हो सकती है।

The Supreme Court has objected to Rahul Gandhi’s statements, but the question is, can the honourable court of the country make such harsh and ridiculous comments about those who speak lies in the Parliament and do not hesitate a bit in calling the public leaders who laid the foundation of the reconstruction of this country as villains? When Rahul Gandhi speaks, he hurts the ruling party. That is why, even his smallest statement reaches the court. If my memory is correct, Rahul Gandhi had spoken about Chinese intrusion with full facts. And, whatever he had said, the then BJP MP from Ladakh had also said it before him. It was also said that satellite pictures confirmed this. Since the ruling party is troubled by the truth of Rahul Gandhi, it is dragging him to the courts. He was even expelled from the Lok Sabha by using the court’s decision as a shield. But the public gave him their support and Rahul returned to the Parliament again. It is clear that the truth can be troubled, not defeated.

The Supreme Court has made a very horrific comment against the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. The court asked him what is the basis of your comment? No true Indian will say such a thing! Meaning, now it will be decided by the court that which Indian can prove to be true by saying what? By the way, to understand the character of the court and the government, it would be appropriate to read ‘How Democracies Die’ published in 2018, written by Harvard University political scientists Steven Levitsky

and Daniel Ziblatt. This book explains how leaders elected through the democratic process weaken democratic processes to increase their power and control power. It cites examples from different countries where ‘mutual tolerance’ has declined, along with the ‘respect’ for the ‘political legitimacy’ of the opposition also decreased. The authors have explained in it that the ruling party links any question of the leaders of the opposition parties to patriotism and calls it an attack on the country and says that if they come to power, they will destroy the country! By reading this book you will come to know that something similar is happening in our country as well. There can hardly be a better explanation of the present times than this.
