स्मार्टफोन अब आपके सारे काम कर देता है, पर इसके पीछे एक 85 वर्ष पुराना कंप्यूटर था। 12 मई 1941 को जर्मनी के कोनराड जुस ने जेड लॉन्च किया था। यह विश्व की पहली मशीन थी, जिसने डिजिटल तरीके से सोचना सिखाया।
जेडउ दुनिया का पहला ऐसा कंप्यूटर था जो बाइनरी सिस्टम (0 और 1) पर चलता था। आज का सुपर कंप्यूटर हो या आपका फोन, सब इसी भाषा पर टिके हैं।
उस दौर में जब बाकी मशीनें बहुत धीमी थीं, जेड 3 बिजली के स्विच की मदद से बड़े-बड़े हिसाब चुटकियों में कर लेता था।
यह पहला कंप्यूटर था जिसे प्रोग्राम किया जा सकता था। इसे निर्देश देकर काम कराया जा सकता था, बिल्कुल वैसे ही जैसे आप ऐप्स चलाते हैं।
आज का कंप्यूटर कही भी लग जाता है, लेकिन यह पहला स्मार्ट कंप्यूटर एक विशाल अलमारी जैसा मारी-मरकम था।

The Z3 was the world’s first computer to operate on the binary system (using 0s and 1s). Whether it is a modern supercomputer or your personal phone, every device today relies on this very language.
In an era when other machines were incredibly slow, the Z3—utilizing electric switches—could perform complex calculations in the blink of an eye.
It was the first computer that could be programmed. It could be made to execute tasks by issuing specific instructions—much in the same way you run apps today.
While modern computers can fit just about anywhere, this pioneering “smart” computer was a massive, hulking machine—resembling nothing so much as a colossal wardrobe.
