What kind of questions are asked in the JEE Main examination?

JEE Main (B.E/ B.Tech) Exam Pattern:

  • Exam Mode: The examination will be held through online CBT mode.

बहुत पहले ही महाकवि रविंद्रनाथ टैगोर ने यह बात कही थी कि राष्ट्र को जोड़ने वाली भाषा हिंदी ही हो सकती है। उनका सोचना कितना सही था। टैगोर या गांधी, ये सब बहुत दूरदर्शी लोग थे, जिन्होंने अहिंदीभाषी होते हुए भी बहुत पहले ही हिंदी की ताकत का अंदाजा लगा लिया था। आज बाजार से ही हिंदी की बात शुरू करें, तो सारे अंतरराष्ट्रीय ब्रांड जानते हैं कि हिंदी के बिना काम नहीं चलेगा। चूंकि हिंदी बोलने वालों का बाजार बहुत बड़ा है, तो हिंदी भाषी समाज भी पूरी दुनिया में फैलता जा रहा है और दूसरे समाजों में भी हिंदी का प्रसार तेज हुआ है। दुनिया में हिंदी की क्या स्थिति है, इसका अनुमान आप इससे लगा सकते हैं, है, अकेले अमेरिका के 12 विश्वविद्यालयों और 40 से ज्यादा कॉलेजों में हिंदी पढ़ाई जाती है। मैं बुडापेस्ट, हंगरी गया था, वहां टैगोर पर बड़ा आयोजन हुआ था। वहां के विश्वविद्यालय के हिंदी विभाग में जाना हुआ, वहां यह भाषा बहुत अच्छी बोली जा रही थी। फ्रांस, जर्मनी, ब्रिटेन, स्पेन इत्यादि में हिंदी रचनाओं के खूब अनुवाद हुए है। हिंदी लेखिका गीतांजलि श्री को बूकर मिलना तो एक बहुत बड़ी घटना है और एक सबक भी कि अगर अच्छे अनुवाद हों, तो हिंदी किसी दिन नोबेल पुरस्कार की अधिकारी बन सकती है। मुझे याद है, जब निर्मल वर्मा संसार में नहीं रहे, तब गुंटर ग्रास जैसे बड़े जर्मन लेखक ने उन पर श्रद्धांजलि लेख लिखा था। जापान में भी मैं एक विश्वविद्यालय के बुलाने पर गया था, वहां हिंदी विभाग में सारी कार्यवाही हिंदी में ही होती है। दुनिया के अनेक देशों में लोग आज हिंदी की सेवा में लगे हैं। मिसाल के लिए, दिव्या माथुर हैं लंदन में, वर्षों से ऑनलाइन कार्यक्रम करती हैं और हिंदी के लेखक उनसे जुड़ते रहते हैं। ऐसे आधुनिक जुड़ाव की अब अपनी भूमिका है।

हां, हिंदी के विविध रूप हैं। हर बड़ी भाषा के साथ ऐसा ही होता है। बड़ी भाषाएं अशुद्ध रूप में भी दुनिया में इस्तेमाल होती हैं। चिंता की बात नहीं, आज कहीं अगर अशुद्धता है, तो वहां देर-सबेर शुद्धता भी आएगी।

बहरहाल, विश्व में हिंदी की बात चले, तो हिंदी सिनेमा को नहीं भुलाया जा सकता। हिंदी फिल्में दुनिया के कोने-कोने में देखी जाती हैं, दुनिया की तमाम बड़ी फिल्में हिंदी में डब की जाती हैं। हिंदी फिल्मों के गाने दुनिया भर में न जाने कितने उत्सवों में गाए-बजाए जाते हैं और तब लोगों के चेहरों पर जो खुशी होती है, वह दरअसल हिंदी की बहुमूल्य पूंजी है। दुनिया भर में हिंदी सुख और खुशी का माध्यम बनती जा रही है।

रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ ‘ हिन्दी के एक प्रमुख लेखक, कवि व निबन्धकार थे। वे आधुनिक युग के श्रेष्ठ वीर रस के कवि के रूप में स्थापित हैं। राष्ट्रवाद अथवा राष्ट्रीयता को इनके काव्य की मूल-भूमि मानते हुए इन्हे ‘युग-चारण’ व ‘काल के चारण’ की संज्ञा दी गई है।

एक और बात गौर करने की है कि हमारे तमाम महान गायकों-संगीतकारों ने शास्त्रीय संगीत के माध्यम से भी दुनिया भर में जगह-जगह हिंदी को गाया-सुनाया है। दुनिया के न जाने कितने घरों में भीमसेन जोशी के पद गूंजते हैं, कुमार गंधर्व के साथ सुबह होती है। आज हिंदी समाज और हिंदी लेखकों को आप कतई कमतर नहीं आंक सकते। हिंदी में अनेक रचनाकार हैं, जो नोबेल योग्य रहे हैं, कुछ नाम गिनाएं, तो प्रेमचंद, प्रसाद, निराला, महादेवी, पंत, अज्ञेय, रेणु, निर्मल वर्मा, कृष्णा सोबती, ये सब विश्वस्तरीय हैं। हिंदी में ऐसे अनेक लेखक हैं, जो दुनिया के अनेक देशों में बार-बार बुलाए जाते हैं।

बहरहाल, हिंदी को अभी तक नोबेल नहीं मिला है। बुनियादी रूप से हिंदी को लेकर अभी भी जैसा सांस्कृतिक परिवेश चाहिए, वह नहीं बना है, पर वह बनेगा जरूर और वह बनने की प्रक्रिया में है। ऐसा भी नहीं है कि हिंदी के परिवेश ने नोबेल विजेता लेखक नहीं दिए हैं। त्रिनिदाद में जन्मे नोबेल विजेता अंग्रेजी लेखक वी एस नायपॉल ने लिखा है कि बचपन में वह हिंदी खूब सुनते थे, उनकी दादी, मामा, मौसियां हिंदी बोलती थीं। अतः यह बिल्कुल सही मांग होगी कि नोबेल के स्तर पर भी हिंदी को मान्यता मिले। संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने भी इस भाषा को स्वीकार किया है। हिंदी की तुलना में कम लोगों द्वारा बोली जाने वाली भाषाओं के लेखकों को भी नोबेल मिला है। जब किसी भाषा के लेखक को सम्मान मिलता है, तो उस लेखक और उस भाषा के अन्य तमाम लेखकों के प्रति दुनिया भर में दिलचस्पी बढ़ती है। एक दिन हिंदी के साथ भी ऐसा ही होगा और हिंदी ज्यादा सशक्त स्वरूप में स्वीकार की जाए‌गी।

Long ago, the great poet Rabindranath Tagore had said that only Hindi could be the language that could unite the nation. How right he was in thinking. Tagore or Gandhi, all these were very far-sighted people, who despite being non-Hindi speaking, had realized the power of Hindi long ago. Today, if we start talking about Hindi in the market, then all the international brands know that without Hindi it will not work. Since the market of Hindi speaking people is very large, the Hindi speaking society is also expanding all over the world and the spread of Hindi has increased in other societies also. You can estimate the status of Hindi in the world from this, Hindi is taught in 12 universities and more than 40 colleges in America alone. I went to Budapest, Hungary, there was a big event on Tagore. I went to the Hindi department of the university there, this language was being spoken very well there. Many Hindi works have been translated in France, Germany, Britain, Spain etc. Hindi writer Gitanjali Shri getting the Booker is a big event and also a lesson that if there are good translations, Hindi can someday become a Nobel Prize winner. I remember, when Nirmal Verma passed away, a great German writer like Gunter Grass had written a tribute article on him. I also went to Japan on the invitation of a university, where all the proceedings in the Hindi department are conducted in Hindi only. Today people in many countries of the world are engaged in the service of Hindi. For example, Divya Mathur is in London, has been doing online programs for years and Hindi writers keep connecting with her. Such modern connectivity now has its role to play.

Yes, there are various forms of Hindi. Same thing happens with every big language. Major languages are used in the world even in impure form. No need to worry, if there is impurity somewhere today, sooner or later purity will also come there.

Ramdhari Singh, known by his pen name Dinkar, was an Indian Hindi language poet, essayist, freedom fighter, patriot and academic. He emerged as a poet of rebellion as a consequence of his nationalist poetry written in the days before Indian independence.

However, if we talk about Hindi in the world, Hindi cinema cannot be forgotten. Hindi films are watched in every corner of the world, all the big films of the world are dubbed in Hindi. Songs from Hindi films are sung and played in many festivals across the world and the happiness that appears on people’s faces is actually a valuable asset of Hindi. Hindi is becoming the medium of happiness and joy all over the world.

Another thing to note is that all our great singers and musicians have sung and narrated Hindi at many places across the world even through classical music. Bhimsen Joshi’s verses resonate in many homes across the world, morning dawns with Kumar Gandharva. Today you cannot underestimate Hindi society and Hindi writers at all. There are many writers in Hindi who have been Nobel worthy, to name a few, Premchand, Prasad, Nirala, Mahadevi, Pant, Agyeya, Renu, Nirmal Verma, Krishna Sobti, all of them are world class. There are many such writers in Hindi who are invited again and again in many countries of the world.

However, Hindi has not received the Nobel yet. Basically, the desired cultural environment for Hindi has not yet been created, but it will definitely be created and is in the process of being created. It is not that the Hindi environment has not produced Nobel winning writers. Trinidad-born Nobel-winning English writer VS Naipaul has written that he used to listen to Hindi a lot in his childhood, his grandmother, maternal uncle and aunts spoke Hindi. Therefore, it would be a right demand that Hindi should be recognized even at the level of Nobel. The United Nations has also accepted this language. Writers of languages spoken by fewer people than Hindi have also received Nobel. When a writer of any language gets respect, interest towards that writer and all other writers of that language increases throughout the world. One day the same will happen with Hindi and Hindi will be accepted in a more powerful form.
