How many applications do you think are written in PHP? How many man hours do you think will cost to replace those applications that millions if not billions of users use? Could you replace them with an exact copy (HTML rendered page that looks exactly like the original) of what they are using?
Realistically speaking, you’re going to waste more money and time to find such a project for switching every single user to a Python based alternative platform. And let’s not forget, those “alternative” platforms might not even work the same way nor work as efficiently as those that are written in PHP.
Not just that, you want to replace PHP? Then you’ll not only have to replace the code base, but also replace every single PHP installation on every single operating system ever created. macOS comes preinstalled with PHP, some Linux distros such as centOS come prepackaged with PHP.
People only usually mention Facebook or WordPress when they talk about PHP, but ever wonder what language PornHub is written in? You might want to double check. Not only that, some bank’s websites are written in PHP. Ever wonder how the game you play everyday has such a really nice and seamless [forum] experience? That’s because majority of them are written in PHP. A lot of popular gaming forums run on either vBulletin (written in PHP) or PHPBB or some other variant of PHP forum software.

Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber’s love story is as lovely as the couple. After a dreamy proposal, the actress married Daniel on April 9 in 2011. They adopted daughter Nisha in 2017 and later in 2018, welcomed two sons named Noah and Asher, who were born via surrogacy.
How did Sunny and Daniel meet?
In one of her previous interviews with Pinkvilla, the Jism 2 star candidly spoke about her and her husband Daniel’s first meeting when he thought Sunny was a lesbian. During the interaction, Sunny revealed that she went on a date with someone else when her paths crossed with Daniel in Las Vegas.
How did Sunny Leone meet husband?
Spilling the beans on how they met, Sunny told Humans of Bombay that they met through Daniel’s bandmate at a club in Vegas. Although Daniel says it was love at first sight, it was not so for Sunny. She remembered making small talks but there weren’t any floating hearts or violins.

The Bajaj Chetak, reborn as an all-electric scooter in 2020, has so far catered to a limited buyer base, considering it was only available in a handful of states.
However, in 2022, Bajaj will make the only scooter in its portfolio available in 11 more cities, including in the national capital. News9 can now confirm Bajaj will soon put the Chetak e-scooter on sale in New Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Kerala and Gujarat, as well as in more cities across Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, which were the only four states where the Chetak was available so far.
Names of the locations the Bajaj Chetak will shortly be available in include Mumbai and Nasik (Maharashtra), Coimbatore and Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Hubli (Karnataka), Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Moti Nagar (New Delhi), Mapusa (Goa), Surat (Gujarat), Kochi and Kozhikode (Kerala).
Of all locations, it’s in Kozhikode where the Bajaj Chetak will be the most expensive, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,92,850 and on-road price of Rs 1,65,494 (after FAME-II subsidy), which is substantially higher than that of even the Ather 450X, among the priciest e-scooters one can buy in India today.
Meanwhile, the Bajaj Chetak’s on-road price in New Delhi will be Rs 1,53,732 (excluding state subsidy). Buyers in Mumbai will have to pay Rs 1,25,547 (on-road) for their Chetak, the price significantly lowered thanks to the additional state subsidy.
Last year, Bajaj discontinued the base Urbane variant of the Chetak electric scooter. Available in just two colours and fitted with a drum brake up front, the Chetak Urbane offered limited choices. With the Urbane being cheaper by only a few thousand rupees, most Chetak buyers ended up opting for the better-equipped Premium variant, following which Bajaj decided to pull the plug on the base model and retail the Chetak in a single variant.
The Chetak has a 3.8 kW/4.1 kW (continuous/peak power) electric motor and a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery. Range is 90 kilometres in Eco mode, and Bajaj says a full charge takes five hours. The Chetak’s battery comes with a three-year/50,000-kilometre warranty.
With Ather Energy pursuing an aggressive expansion strategy and Ola Electric ramping up production of the S1, a more feature-rich electric scooter with better performance and range at a lower price, progress for the Bajaj Chetak has been relatively slow. However, with competition set to further intensify with the entry of Hero MotoCorp in the coming months, Bajaj is preparing to go all in, and is already in the process of readying its EV plant in Akurdi (with an annual capacity of five lakh vehicles) to roll out the first model by June 2022.
The first month of the new year will bring facelifted versions, new CNG variants, and a brand new pickup too
The new year is almost upon us, and what better way to bring it in but in these stylish new upcoming vehicles.
While these are mainly SUVs, there indeed are a few surprises too. Let’s look at all the models you can expect in India in January 2022:
Facelifted Skoda Kodiaq
Expected Price: Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards
Rivals: MG Gloster, Mahindra Alturas G4, Toyota Fortuner, and Jeep’s upcoming 7-seater SUV
Skoda’s flagship SUV, the Kodiaq, is returning to India after its diesel version was discontinued in April 2020. With the facelift, the Kodiaq will now have a petrol heart, thanks to the VW group’s decision to do away with oil burners. The carmaker has already started series production at its Aurangabad facility, and select dealerships have started accepting bookings.
The SUV will get subtle revisions to the exterior design, and its equipment list will get extra features like ventilation, heating, and massage functions for the front seats, 10-colour ambient lighting, and a two-spoke steering wheel as seen on the Kushaq and Slavia.
Toyota Hilux
Expected Price: Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards
Rivals: Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
While buyers have been drifting towards SUVs in recent years, one segment that’s still largely unexplored is the pickup truck. Right now, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is the only lifestyle pickup in India. However, Toyota, too, has its eyes on this segment and is bringing the globally popular Hilux here (it was recently spotted undisguised for a TVC shoot).
It is expected to come in two variants: Hilux and Hilux Revo, and it should get a set of diesel engines with both manual and automatic transmission options and a choice of 4WD. Features could include an 8-inch touchscreen system, a powered driver’s seat, and multiple airbags.
Tata Altroz DCT
Expected Price: Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards
January 2022 will mark two years of Tata’s entry into the premium hatchback space with the Altroz. We believe the carmaker could use the occasion to debut the automatic version with the DCT (dual-clutch transmission) as it introduced the hatchback’s turbo-petrol variants on its first anniversary. Tata is expected to offer the optional automatic gearbox only with the Altroz’s turbocharged engine. No other cosmetic or feature upgrades are expected.
Facelifted Audi Q7
Expected Price: Rs 75 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards
Rivals: Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Volvo XC90, and Land Rover Discovery
Audi is set to bring back the Q7 in its facelifted avatar to India in January 2022. Among the host of updates, the most important will be the change of heart – from diesel to petrol. The luxury three-row SUV will get a 3-litre turbo-petrol engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic, and not to forget, Audi’s all-wheel drivetrain (Quattro). Its equipment list consists of a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, a tri-screen setup, and an electrically operated tailgate.
Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG
Expected Price: Rs 60,000 to Rs 80,000 over petrol counterparts
Tata will likely start providing the factory-fitted CNG kit with the Tiago and Tigor by the end of January 2022. Both will continue with their existing 1.2-litre petrol engines, but the output will likely decrease slightly when operating on CNG. We don’t expect any feature changes, however.
The CNG option will likely be offered with the lower variants only, as is standard with any other model. While the Tiago’s rivals (Maruti Wagon R and Hyundai Santro) come with a CNG option, none of the Tigor’s competitors offer the cleaner fuel alternative.
The entry-level hatchback will be the first new Tata to get a CNG kit from factory
Tiago will mark Tata’s foray into India’s growing market for factory-fitted CNG models.
It will use the 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual only.
CNG option likely to be offered with mid-spec XT and XZ variants, which offer plenty of the basic comforts.
CNG variant likely to command premium of around Rs 70,000 over corresponding petrol variants.
Unofficial bookings underway, launch likely towards the end of January.
The list of cars with factory-fitted CNG kits available in India will soon include the Tata Tiago. After months of inside reports, the arrival of the new variant has now been officially teased.
The Tiago CNG will use the same 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual. But its performance is expected to drop by 15 to 20 percent with the cleaner fuel. For reference, the petrol mill makes 86PS. However, it makes up for this power drop with more mileage with the comparatively affordable CNG.
Tata is expected to offer the CNG option with the hatchback’s mid-spec variants, XT and XZ. Both are equipped with dual front airbags, parking assist display, a Harman audio system, a digitised instrument cluster, and power-adjustable ORVMs. The XZ also gets the touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, alloy wheels, and front fog lamps. However, they’ll likely lose most of the 242-litre boot as the CNG tank will be placed there.
These variants are expected to be priced at a premium of around Rs 70,000 over their corresponding petrol options. Unofficial bookings for the Tiago CNG are already underway, with deposits ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000. Our sources had earlier told us that prices could be announced by the end of January.
At present, the hatchback will cost you between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 7.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Tiago CNG will go up against the Maruti Wagon R, Hyundai Santro, and the upcoming Celerio CNG variants.
