The App accesses only the health data needed for the features you choose to use. Health Connect permissions are optional, and you can deny or revoke them through your device settings.

The App does not access these health records through Health Connect without the required authorization.

READ_WEIGHT — Weight

Our app includes an Advanced BMI Calculator that calculates Body Mass Index (BMI), Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), and Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). We request the READ_WEIGHT permission to allow users to import their latest weight measurements from Health Connect, including measurements recorded by compatible smart scales. This eliminates manual data entry, reduces input errors, and helps users calculate BMI, BMR, and TDEE using their recorded weight data. Weight data is accessed only to provide the relevant health and fitness features requested by the user.

READ_BODY_FAT — Body Fat

Specific purpose, in-app feature, and benefit to the user:

Our app’s Advanced BMI Calculator includes a body composition feature. We request the READ_BODY_FAT permission to allow users to import body fat percentage measurements stored in Health Connect, including measurements from compatible body composition scales. This helps users review their body fat percentage and, where supported by the available data, estimate fat mass without manually entering measurements. Access to body fat data supports personalized fitness tracking and body composition reporting.

READ_HEART_RATE — Heart Rate

Specific purpose, in-app feature, and benefit to the user:

Our app includes a dedicated Heart Rate dashboard that displays heart rate measurements available through Health Connect. We request the READ_HEART_RATE permission to retrieve the user’s recent heart rate records so they can review their cardiovascular activity alongside other health and fitness metrics, such as BMI and daily steps. This provides a convenient, centralized view of their recorded fitness data. Heart rate data is accessed only to support this feature and is displayed to the user within the app.

Description of permission usage:

Our application includes a Step Tracker feature that helps users monitor daily steps, estimate calories burned, and track walking activity. We request the android.permission.ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION permission to access step-counting functionality through supported Android activity-recognition APIs and hardware sensors, including Sensor.TYPE_STEP_COUNTER and Sensor.TYPE_STEP_DETECTOR, where available. This permission enables the app to track physical activity and display step-related fitness metrics. Step data is processed locally on the device for this feature, except where the user explicitly chooses to share or synchronize it through a supported feature.

C. Physical Activity Data

If you grant the required Android activity-recognition permission, the App may access step-counting functionality using supported device sensors or APIs.

Step data is used to display daily step counts, walking activity, estimated calories burned, and related fitness information.

Data obtained through Health Connect is subject to the applicable permissions and the App’s implemented storage and processing practices.

You can stop future access to Health Connect data by revoking the relevant permissions in Health Connect settings.

You may be able to delete locally stored information by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App. Information previously exported, backed up, or stored by another service may require separate deletion.

7. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions when required by its features:

READ_WEIGHT: To read weight records from Health Connect.
READ_BODY_FAT: To read body fat percentage records from Health Connect.
READ_HEART_RATE: To read heart rate records from Health Connect.

Revoking a permission prevents future access through that permission but does not necessarily delete information already stored elsewhere.
