As a result, the entire ship was destroyed and almost all its officers and employees drowned in the ocean. Out of the 74 passengers on the ship, 70 were Indians. Only one person could be saved, who was thrown far into the sea by the explosion and was later picked up by a Norwegian ship. The cause of the accident is still not known, but some quarters believe that some sabotage action was behind it. An investigation has been started.
