गुरुवर जी तुमसे यह अर्ज है, कुछ ऐसा मेरा सुधार हो।
इस तन में तेरी तलाश हो, इस मन में तेरा ही प्यार हो ॥
तेरी चाह में ही चढ़ा रहूं, तेरे द्वार पर ही खड़ा रहूं।
कदमों पै तेरे पड़ा रहूं, चाहे कष्ट मुझ पै हज़ार हो ॥
तेरी याद दिल में किया करूं, तुझे धन्यवाद दिया करूं।
तेरा नगद नाम लिया करूं, ये रकम न मुझ पै उधार हो ॥
मेरे ध्यान में तू बसा रहे, रग-रग में तू ही फंसा रहे।
अनुराग का वो नशा रहे, दिन-रात का ना शुमार हो ॥
चले प्राण तन से जो ऊब कर, अहसान ये मुझ पै तू खूब कर।
तेरे प्रेम सिंधु में डूब कर, भवसिंधु से बिंदु भी पार हो ॥
O Guru, I humbly request of you, grant me such transformation,
That in this body I may seek you, and in this heart, only your love reside.
May I remain devoted to your desire, and stand ever at your door,
May I lie prostrate at your feet, even if a thousand troubles befall me.
May I always remember you in my heart, and offer you my gratitude,
May I constantly chant your name, and let this devotion be my only wealth.
May you dwell in my thoughts, and permeate every fiber of my being,
May that intoxication of love remain, without any count of day or night.
When my soul departs from this weary body, bestow upon me this great favor,
That, immersed in the ocean of your love, I may cross even the vast ocean of existence.
