यात्रियों को लापरवाही से बचना चाहिए

छत्तीसगढ़ के बिलासपुर में ट्रेन और मालगाड़ी के टकराने के चंद दिनों बाद ही उत्तर प्रदेश में मिर्जापुर के चुनार रेलवे स्टेशन पर एक बड़ा रेल हादसा हो गया। यहां पर गंगा स्नान के दिन कई महिलाएं कालका-हावड़ा एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन की चपेट में आकर अपनी जान गंवा बैठीं। ये सभी महिलाएं कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के अवसर पर गंगा स्नान के लिए यात्रा कर रही थीं। बताया जा रहा है कि ये महिला यात्री गलत दिशा में उतरने के कारण ट्रेन की चपेट में आ गई और एक साथ काल के गाल में समा गईं।

यहां अगर हादसे की प्रकृति पर गौर करें, तो स्पष्ट होता है कि महिला यात्रियों ने ट्रेन से उतरते समय दिशा का ध्यान नहीं रखा और वे ट्रैक पर आ गईं। ट्रेन के आते ही वे उसकी चपेट में आ गई, जिससे मौके पर ही उन सबकी मौत हो गई। इस घटना के बाद पुलिस और रेल प्रशासन के लोग मौके पर पहुंचे और राहत कार्य शुरू किया। पुलिस और रेल प्रशासन द्वारा इस हादसे की जांच की जा रही है। स्थानीय प्रशासन ने यात्रियों से रेलवे ट्रैक पर चलने से बचने की अपील की है।

हालांकि, इस तरह के हादसों की बारंबरता देश के लिए अच्छी बात नहीं है। लेकिन कोई भी इस पर सतर्कता बरतने की बात नहीं करता। न यात्री सतर्क होकर यात्रा करना चाहते हैं और न ही रेल वा पुलिस प्रशासन इसके लिए गंभीर प्रयास करते हैं। नतीजा है कि ऐसे हादसे होते हैं और कुछ दिन हाय-तौबा में बीतने, जांच कमेटी बनने और नए-नए तरह के कुछ निर्देश जारी होने के बाद फिर वही ढाक के तीन पात। इस हादसे पर उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने गहरा शोक व्यक्त किया है और मुआवजे का एलान कर दिया है। पर यह समस्या का कोई समाधान नहीं है।

यह तो राज्य सरकार का दायित्व है। इस तरह के रेल हादसों को रोकने के लिए हर स्तर पर प्रयास करने पड़ेंगे। साथ ही, यात्रियों का भी यह कर्तव्य है कि वे सतर्क और अनुशासित होकर यात्रा करें और यात्रा के दौरान अधैर्य न दिखाएं। अधिकांश हादसे हकबकाहट के कारण ही होते हैं, जिससे यात्री अक्सर स्टेशनों पर अफरा-तफरी का माहौल बना देते हैं और खुद ही उसकी चपेट में आ जाते हैं। जरूरी है कि रेल प्रशासन आवश्यक नियम तो बनाए हो, अपनी व्यवस्था चाक-चौबंद करके उन नियमों को लागू भी कराए। यात्री भी पूरी जानकारी लेकर, सोच-समझकर यात्रा करें। वे हरेक बात की जानकारी वैध तरीके से प्राप्त करके पूरी सजगता के साथ आगे बढ़े, तभी इस तरह के हादसे को न्यूनतम स्तर पर लाया जा सकेगा।

Several women were hit by the Kalka-Howrah Express train on the day of the Ganga Snan. All of them were traveling to bathe in the Ganga on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. It is being reported that these women passengers were hit by the train due to alighting from the wrong direction and died simultaneously.

Considering the nature of the accident, it is clear that the women passengers lost their direction while alighting and ended up on the tracks. As the train approached, they were hit by it, resulting in their immediate death. Following the incident, police and railway officials arrived at the scene and began rescue operations. The police and railway authorities are investigating the accident. The local administration has appealed to passengers to avoid walking on the railway tracks.

However, the frequency of such accidents is not a good sign for the country. But no one advocates for caution. Passengers are not willing to travel with caution, nor do the railway or police authorities make any serious efforts to prevent them. The result is that such accidents occur, and after a few days of hue and cry, the formation of an investigation committee, and the issuance of various new directives, the situation remains the same. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep condolences over the accident and announced compensation. But this is not a solution to the problem.

This is the state government’s responsibility. Efforts must be made at every level to prevent such train accidents. Furthermore, passengers also have a duty to travel with caution and discipline and avoid impatience. Most accidents occur due to panic, which often creates chaos at stations, and thus, they themselves become victims. It is essential that the railway administration establishes the necessary rules, streamlines its system and enforces them. Passengers should also travel with full knowledge and caution. They should obtain all information legitimately and proceed with full caution, only then can such accidents be minimized.
