आम जनता को आगाह करते आंकड़े

आपको पता है, डेमोक्रेसी (लोकतंत्र) किसे कहते हैं? जिसमें जनता अपनी *हुकूमत खुद चुने, पर कौन सी जनता ? घर में लेटी जनता नहीं, खेत में काम करती जनता नहीं। फैक्टरी या कंपनी में सिर खपाती जनता नहीं? बिजनेस या फिर कॉल सेंटर में जूझी हुई जनता नहीं। जानते हैं, वह जनता कौन होती है, जो लोकतंत्र को गढ़ती है? वह जनता होती है ‘मतदाता-सूची’ में जिनका नाम हो। जो वोट कर सके। यानी, सारा लोकतंत्र ही मतदाता सूची पर टिका है और वहीं अब संदिग्ध हो रही है। आपको यह अधिकार मिला था, जिसे चाहो उसे चुनो। यह अधिकार अगर दीमक चाट गई, तो फिर सिरों की गिनती में तो रहेंगे, मगर कोई अधिकार नहीं रखेंगे।

राहुल गांधी ने बड़ी मेहनत से अपने संसाधनों का इस्तेमाल करके ये खुलासे किए हैं। इसकी गंभीरता को समझिए।

चुनाव आयोग हो या कोई भी संस्था, उसे पहले इसकी जांच करनी चाहिए। यह तमाशा नहीं है, या तो जांच करके राहुल को गलत साबित कीजिए या फिर जगह छोड़िए। आज जो राहुल को नजरंदाज कर रहे हैं। वे अपने भविष्य को नजरंदाज कर रहे हैं। जो इस पर गंभीर नही हैं, वे अपने ही लिए गंभीर नहीं हैं। जिन्हें राहुल पर हंसी आ रही है, वास्तव में वे अपने ही ऊपर हंस रहे हैं। देश बनने के बाद पहला नेता प्रतिपक्ष ऐसा मिला है, जो लोकतंत्र और इंसानों की बराबरी को लेकर इतना सजग है। जो रोज जनता को जगा रहा है। जो भयंकर दमन सहकर भी जूझ रहा है। उसे नजरंदाज करके आप अपना ही नुकसान कर रहे हैं।

राहुल की बात उन युवाओं तक जरूर सीधे चली गई है, जो नए हैं। जो कट्टर और कुंठित नहीं हैं। वे अंग्रेजी-हिंदी में नहीं फंसते, बल्कि सच्ची बात पर गौर करते हैं। ये पढ़े-लिखे हैं, पढ़े-लिखे इंसान की बात की गंभीरता समझते हैं। हमें इत्मीनान है कि कम-से-कम युवाओं में राहुल का संदेश सीधा जाकर असर कर रहा है। अधेड़ों, अधपके बालों वाले कथित युवाओं और थोड़े उम्रदराज लोगों को समझना होगा। अगर आपके हाथ से वोट देने की ताकत का असर खत्म हो जाए, तो कोई भी आपकी नहीं सुनेगा। जो सुनवाई है अभी, वह वोट की ताकत की वजह से है। राहुल की बात को हवा में मत उड़ाइए, वरना बहुत पछतावा होगा। यह बात सबके लिए है। राहुल के खुलासों पर बहस कीजिए, सवाल कीजिए, जवाब दीजिए- मगर नजरंदाज मत कीजिए। सजग रहिए। बीमारी पता चल गई है और जनता इलाज भी खोज लेगी, क्योंकि सबसे ऊपर जनता ही है। वह जो भी रास्ता तय करेगी, वही सबका रास्ता होगा।

You know what democracy is? It’s where the people choose their own government, but which public? Not the people who lie at home, not the people working in the fields. Not the people toiling in factories or companies. Not the people struggling in business or call centers. Do you know who the people are who shape democracy? They are the people whose names are on the voter list. Those who can vote. In other words, the entire democracy rests on the voter list, and that is now becoming questionable. You were given this right to elect whoever you want. If this right is eaten away by termites, you will be a handful, but you will have no rights.

Rahul Gandhi has made these revelations with great effort, using his resources. Understand the seriousness of this.

The Election Commission or any other institution should first investigate this. This is not a spectacle. Either investigate and prove Rahul wrong or leave the place. Those who are ignoring Rahul today. They are ignoring their future. Those who are not serious about this are not serious about themselves. Those who are laughing at Rahul are actually laughing at themselves. Since the country’s formation, we have found a leader of the opposition who is so conscious of democracy and human equality. One who is awakening the public every day. One who is struggling despite facing severe oppression. By ignoring him, you are only harming yourself.

Rahul’s message has definitely reached the young people who are new, who are not fanatic or frustrated. They are not caught up in English and Hindi, but instead pay attention to the truth. They are educated, and understand the seriousness of what an educated person says. We are confident that Rahul’s message is having a direct impact on at least the youth. Middle-aged people, so-called youth with graying hair, and the slightly older people need to understand. If the power of voting is lost, no one will listen to you. The hearing that is happening now is due to the power of the vote. Don’t dismiss Rahul’s remarks, or you’ll regret them. This is for everyone. Debate Rahul’s revelations, question them, and respond—but don’t ignore them. Be vigilant. The disease has been discovered, and the public will find the cure, because the public is supreme. Whatever path it chooses will be everyone’s path.
