T20 world cup 2022 will be commencing on 16th Oct, Australia will host the tournament. Qualifying matches for Super 12 will be played from 16th Oct and Super 12 match matches will begin on 22nd Oct. In the first qualifying match, Sri Lanka will take on Namibia whereas the first Super 12 clash is between New Zealand vs Australia.

There is a total 16 number of teams which are furtherly divided into 4-4 groups. 8 teams are automatically qualified for the Super 12 and the other 8 teams will play robin-round format matches to secure their place in the Super 12 group.
Further, 12 teams will be divided into 2 groups, 6 each. These 6 teams of each group will play against every other team of their group and lately, the top 2 teams of each group will play semi-finals. Winning teams from both groups will qualify for finals which be hosted by Melbourne Cricket Ground on 13th Nov.
