The world’s first robot took flight

Rome, Agency. Robots that look like humans can not only walk, speak and hold things but now they can also fly. Italian scientists have introduced the world’s first jetpack-powered humanoid robot. It can fly in the air. Its name is Iron Cub MK 3. Its face is like that of an innocent child. Its height is also small.

The humanoid robot developed by the Italian Institute of Technology was flown with four boosters. Two boosters were installed in the jetpack on its back and two in place of its hands. During the test, this humanoid robot was flown, it did not remain stable at this height. Details about this have been published in Nature Communications Engineering.

Weight is 22 kg

04 thrusters were installed

This robot will be helpful in rescue operations

It has been named Iron Cub MK 3

This robot equipped with a jet engine weighs about 22 kg. The turbines installed in the robot can generate a thrust of more than 1000 Newtons. With the help of this power, the robot can remain stable in the air. It is also capable of controlled flight even in bad weather conditions.

However, the temperature of the hot air coming out of the turbines can reach 800 degrees Celsius, so the body of the robot was covered with heat-resistant material. The use of this technology will not be limited to robotic research only.
