पुराणों में राक्षसों की कहानियां हैं; ये राक्षस सब तरफ आतंक मचाते थे, फिर कोई देवी या देवता आकर उस दानव का वध करता था। वैसा ही कुछ एआई इत्यादि.. टेक्नोलॉजी के साधनों के बारे में हो रहा है। यह सब आदमी ने ईजाद किया है और अब इनका प्रभाव इतना ज्यादा हो गया है कि अपने ही आविष्कार उससे सम्हाले नहीं जा रहे। लोग डरे हुए हैं कि न जाने भविष्य कैसा होगा ?

कुछ लोग सोचते हैं कि इससे तो पुराना समय अच्छा था। लेकिन समय का पहिया उल्टा नहीं घूम सकता। अब तकनीक हमारे जीवन का उतना ही अभिन्न हिस्सा है, जितना हवा और पानी। बजाय इसके कि आधुनिक उपकरणों को कोसें, समझदारी इसी में है कि मनुष्य खुद को इन उपकरणों के सदुपयोग के लायक बनाए। अगर आप सारी आधुनिक प्रौद्योगिकी को त्याग देंगे, तो अंधकार युग में गिर जाएंगे, और यह धरती पर सबसे बड़ी हिंसा होगी।

इसके बारे में ओशो आधी शताब्दी से लोगों को सावधान कर रहे थे। लेकिन जब तक बात सिर पर न आ जाए, कोई सुनता नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा है कि आधुनिक मनुष्य अभी अस्तित्व में नहीं आया है। दुनिया के सभी लोग बहुत पुराने विचारों के हैं। इसने एक जबरदस्त समस्या पैदा कर दी है: वैज्ञानिक प्रगति का उपयोग करने के लिए आधुनिक मनुष्य की आवश्यकता है। प्रौद्योगिकी उपलब्ध है, है, विज्ञान उपलब्ध है, लेकिन जो लोग इसका रचनात्मक उपयोग कर सकते हैं, वे मौजूद नहीं हैं। परिणाम विनाशकारी है। विज्ञान ने उनके हाथों में तकनीकी उपकरण, मशीनें दे दी हैं, जो खतरनाक हैं। यह एक बच्चे के हाथ में तलवार थमाने जैसा है। वह किसी को भी चोट पहुंचा सकता है, उसे तलवार उसे तलवार चलाने के लिए लिए प्रशिक्षित नहीं किया गया है। मनुष्य अविकसित रह गया है और प्रौद्योगिकी उससे बहुत आगे निकल गई है।

अगर सारा काम प्रौद्योगिकी और मशीनों द्वारा किया जासकता है, तो मनुष्य अपनी चेतना को विकसित करने के लिए स्वतंत्र होगा। उसके पास ध्यान करने, जीवन के उच्चतर आयामों को जानने-समझने का समय होगा। और पहली बार मनुष्य को उसकी गरिमा उपलब्ध होगी।

वैज्ञानिक प्रगति का उपयोग करने के लिए आधुनिक मनुष्य की आवश्यकता है। प्रौद्योगिकी उपलब्ध है, लेकिन जो लोग इसका रचनात्मक उपयोग कर सकते हैं, वे मौजूद नहीं हैं।

The Puranas contain stories of demons; these demons would spread terror everywhere, and then a god or goddess would come and slay them. Something similar is happening with technological tools like AI and the like. All of this has been invented by man, and now their influence has become so great that even his own inventions are becoming unmanageable. People are afraid of what the future will hold.

Some people think that the old times were better than this. But the wheel of time cannot be reversed. Now, technology is as integral to our lives as air and water. Instead of cursing modern devices, it is wise for humans to prepare themselves for the proper use of these devices. If you abandon all modern technology, you will fall into the Dark Ages, and this will be the greatest violence on earth.

Osho has been warning people about this for half a century. But until the situation becomes acute, no one listens. He said that modern man has not yet come into being. People all over the world have very old-fashioned ideas. This has created a tremendous problem: modern humans need to harness scientific progress. Technology is available, science is available, but those who can use it creatively are missing. The result is disastrous. Science has put technological tools and machines into their hands, which are dangerous. It’s like putting a sword in a child’s hand. He can hurt anyone, he hasn’t been trained to wield it. Humans remain underdeveloped, and technology has far surpassed him.

If the human mind develops, all technology will become servants. Computers shouldn’t be considered villains. They are a great blessing. What human intelligence has accomplished is so small. Once computers take over the world, so much can be accomplished that no one will need to work as a servant. No one will need to go hungry. No one will need to be poor; no one will need to be a thief, no one will need to be a judge. Caste and class will all disappear.

If all work can be done by technology and machines, humans will be free to develop their consciousness. They will have time to meditate and explore higher dimensions of life. And for the first time, humanity will experience their dignity.

Modern humans need to harness scientific advancements. Technology is available, but those who can use it creatively are missing.
