Can I make 6 million a year selling on Amazon?

Yes you can. There is actually an incredible success story of a 21-year old college kid who setup his Amazon business. Grew his sales from 0 to 93 million. Then sold his entire business for an Amazing $75 million!

So yeah you can get very, VERY rich with selling on Amazon. Personally I am not quite there yet, as I am “only” making $19k a month.
I started selling on Amazon about 3 years ago, and although it is hard work, it definitely paid off ! Over these 3 years I have learned some valuable lessons and setup my own checklist of what to look for when picking a product to sell on Amazon:

Product must be simple to manufacture!
We want to keep it as simple as possible and don’t take any risks with hard to manufacture products.
Low competition
The competition should have around 50 reviews or less.
High demand
At least $3000 revenue per month for competitors in my niche.
Sales Price: $15 +
Healthy profit margin
Profit margin should be at least 33% of the sales price. So I want to make at least $1k per month on this product

Here’s A Police Warning For WhatsApp Group Admins

Recently, the police in Parbhani district of Maharashtra has issued the warning to the ‘admins’ of WhatsApp groups that they should ensure that no objectionable content is circulated to the group. If police find any objectionable content in WhatsApp groups, offenses under the Information Technology Act as well as IPC will be registered.

Well, if you are using WhatsApp and manage several groups, then you need to read this news. Recently, the police in Parbhani district of Maharashtra has issued the warning to the ‘admins’ of WhatsApp groups that they should ensure that no objectionable content is circulated to the group.

Group Administrators are the one who has full control over the WhatsApp groups, they can see and manage the contents that are shared by the group members. Multiple persons can also be admins for one group.

Parbhani Sub Divisional Police Office, Sanjay Pardeshi said “We have issued a letter to all police stations, asking them to summon WhatsApp group admins in their areas in person, and tell them that they should avoid such content in the group”

“We are asking group admins to monitor the content the member’s post,” he said

The letter sent by the authorities to police stations in the district says WhatsApp group should not have any disrespectful content including text, pictures, audio or video clips about historical or iconic figures, places of worship or anything that may hurt religious sentiments.

Not only these, Sanjay Pardeshi also said that if any Group admin finds such post in WhatsApp group, it should be immediately reported to the police. Dilip Zalke who is the district superintendent of Police Dilip Zalke said that police took this step after incidents of defamatory content going viral through WhatsApp groups were reported.

He also said that “Even to forward such a content is a crime”. If police find any objectionable content in WhatsApp groups, offenses under the Information Technology Act as well as IPC will be registered.

What Is Balance Transfer On Credit Card And How Can It Be Used?

Credit Cards are merely not just plastic money any more, but offer you an array of credit facilities that make your life easier. One of these is the balance transfer facility which allows a card holder to clear his credit dues on one card by transferring them to another card. Let’s find out how this facility can be availed and whether it’s a suitable option for you.

What Is It?

Balance transfer facility available for select credit cards allows its holder to transfer a pending amount owed on one card to another card, provided the second card has a credit limit higher than the money owed.

Documents Required

Some premium card holders may not require any additional procedures or documentation to avail this facility but other cards may need to be supported with additional documents. These may be

Also banks do not mostly allow balance transfer to other cards issued by the same lender. Moreover, not all credit card holders can avail this facility even if they provide adequate documentation.

Although balance transfer is essentially moving debt from one card to the other, this option may help cardholders get out of circular debt cycles that keep growing worse due to compounding rates of interest. It is also a convenient way to get rid of accumulated credit card debt as compared to other means of paying back credit.

The process is quick which makes it easy for customers to avail and get rid of their pending dues and a buffer time is allocated to cardholders to pay off their outstanding amount. This period has zero or a very nominal rate of interest which you can find out from your bank before opting for the facility.

Things To Watch Out For

While balance transfer is a convenient facility to use there are some key things to keep in mind when availing it.
You can only transfer that amount to your new credit card which is within its credit limit
One must be wary of processing fees. At times, the processing fees might be very high, making you shell out more than what you might have if you had continued with your existing card
The lower interest rate for credit card balance is not applicable to new purchases as these transactions fall under standard interest rates offered by the credit card issuer
Refrain from using your credit card until all balance transfer payments are paid and all subsequent charges are cleared
Some lenders may offer an EMI mode of repaying your credit card balance when you opt for balance transfer. You need to check the interest rate as well as the terms and conditions and not blindly choose to do the transfer just because the option of instalments is being given.

Not Claiming Reimbursement Benefits From Your Employer? Read This

Companies often offer the option of filing medical, conveyance and telephone bills to their employees, to claim income tax deduction. However, a significant majority of employees opt out of it thinking that this will increase their-in-hand salary, a survey found. The survey by data measurement company Nielsen and fintech startup Zeta stressed on the need to make employees aware of the income tax benefits that these reimbursement claims offer. A total of 56 six per cent of employees who opt out of reimbursements do so for a higher in-hand salary, according to the findings of the survey.

“Because reimbursements are first deducted from salary (before being credited upon bill-verification) there’s a sense of loss employees perceive. Those who have opted out of employee benefits thinking they’ll get a higher in-hand salary are therefore foregoing an actual profit in the future for a notional benefit in the present,” the Zeta-Nileson report stated.

Offerings under tax-saving benefits

Most popularly, medical reimbursements, telephone/internet and fuel reimbursements have been offered in companies as tax-saving benefits to employees. Leave travel allowance (LTA) and a gadget or asset allowance are also offered frequently in many companies, although these are sometimes reserved for higher-salaried or senior employees. Medical reimbursements has traditionally been the most sought-after benefit, but that will now undergo a big change, as standard deduction of Rs. 40,000 will be introduced with effect from financial year 2018-19.

Contrary to belief, not many companies prefer to provide meal vouchers, according to the report. Gift vouchers are the least popular employee tax benefit of all, it noted.

Digital filings for reimbursements
The research insisted that the process for filing reimbursement claims needs to be simplified. The survey found that 62 per cent of employees claim that the reimbursement process is time-consuming and 23 minutes is the average time taken by an employee to submit a single claim.

Employees lose productive time in submitting these reimbursements claims. According to the survey, 90 per cent of them prefer digital reimbursements. This is in stark contrast to the fact that only 6 per cent of all companies surveyed provide it. Managing physical/paper bills, especially illegible and invalid ones, can cause major delays in the process. Stalled verification can cause undue anxiety to employees, who have no efficient way of tracking their claims. Many companies take more than eight days to process each claim, with some taking upwards of two weeks.

“Make the process transparent, make it easy, and make it relevant. That’s when employees are encouraged to opt in for something, and value it,” stated the report.

A total of 1,233 employees were interviewed in the Nielson-Zeta survey. About 568 of them were from the manufacturing sector and 665 from the services sector. Full-time employees of companies, who have worked in the company for at least two years and are eligible to receive tax-saving reimbursements, were interviewed. A total of 194 companies were covered in the survey. Out of this, 92 companies were from the manufacturing sector and 102 are from the service sector. The research was conducted by Nielsen during August 2017 – February 2018. HR/finance/admin personnel who are key decision-makers in deciding reimbursement policies or are responsible for processing employee reimbursements, were also a part of the survey.

Amazon Now re-brands itself as Prime Now, promises 2-hour express delivery

Amazon India has rebranded its grocery services as Prime Now which promises to provide 2 hours express delivery to its prime members. The Amazon Prime Now app is now available for download on Android and iOS devices. Talking about the launch, Head of Prime Now, Amazon India, Siddharth Nambiar said that they have invested in the customized infrastructure of fulfilment centres (FC) for faster deliveries and chill chains to maintain temperatures at optimum conditions for leafy products.

“On Prime Now, customers can shop for products from our Now store which is fulfilled by Amazon. We have invested in the customized infrastructure of fulfilment centres (FC) for faster deliveries and chill chains to maintain temperatures at optimum conditions for leafy products and dairy products like curd and paneer. We are encouraged by the strong customer response and quantities ordered have grown by 90% monthly since the launch of the NOW store,” he said.

Here is everything new for customers:

– Prime Now will provide exclusive Express 2-hour delivery to Prime members anytime between 6 am to midnight (order as late as 10:00 PM for midnight delivery). Same-day and next-day delivery will remain available for all customers, in convenient 2-hour slots from 6 am to 12 midnight.

– Prime Now, which is an app-only ultrafast service, is available to customers in Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad catering to the urban family that values convenience.

– It will take orders as late as 10 pm for midnight deliveries.

– This app-based service will give access to more than 10,000 products such as fruits, vegetables, home and kitchen items etc to its costumers.

– The app offers cash back on the first order and this is in addition to the discount offered on various items available on Prime.

– Amazon will deliver items through its store – Now store which offers a range of over 150 perishable grocery items and the items are updated with every season like seasonal fruits.

– In addition to that, the online retailer has partnered with various local and big stores like BigBazaar, HyperCity, Spar. Hence, the customers can now get items from these stores within 2 hours as well.

– Amazon Prime Now will allow the customers to claim a refund on expired or defective products within 10 days of delivery.
