Currently, this title is held by Singapore Airlines flight which completes the journey from Singapore to New York in 18.5 hours. Qantas has ordered 12 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft for this service. These aircraft will have 238 seats as compared to the usual 300 seats, which will give passengers more legroom. Operating long flights costs a lot.
