रेलवे की सेवा को गति देगी बुलेट ट्रेन

देश की पहली बुलेट ट्रेन परियोजना अब अंतिम चरण में दिखती है। हाल ही में रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने घोषणा की है कि 15 अगस्त, 2027 से देश में पहली बुलेट ट्रेन चलनी शुरू हो जाएगी। यह ट्रेन मुंबई अहमदाबाद के बीच चलेगी। इस रेलमार्ग परियोजना पर पिछले कई वर्षों से काम चल रहा है। पिछले साल नवंबर में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी इस हाईस्पीड रेल कॉरिडोर की प्रगति की समीक्षा की थी। देश में बुलेट ट्रेन चलाने के कई फायदे हैं। इन फायदों में समय की बचत, आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा, रोजगार सृजन, सड़क यातायात के दबाव व प्रदूषण में कमी और तकनीकी उन्नति शामिल हैं। यह ट्रेन यात्रियों को सुरक्षित, आरामदायक और तेज यात्रा का विकल्प देगी, जिससे शहरों के बीच कनेक्टिविटी और व्यापार के अवसर बढ़ेंगे, साथ ही यह ट्रेन पर्यावरण के अनुकूल भी होगी और ‘मेक इन इंडिया’ पहल को मजबूत करेगी। असल में, देश में उन मार्गों पर बुलेट ट्रेन चलाना बहुत जरूरी और फायदेमंद है, जिन पर पूरे साल भारी भीड़ रहती है। इनमें मुंबई-अहमदाबाद के अलावा, पूर्व और उत्तर रेलवे के मार्ग प्रमुख हैं। दिल्ली से यूपी-बिहार होते हुए हावड़ा व गुवाहाटी तक अगर बुलेट ट्रेनें चलाई जाती हैं, तो इससे रेलवे की आमदनी में तो वृद्धि होगी ही, यात्रियों को भी काफी सहूलियतें होंगी। कम समय में गंतव्य तक पहुंचाने वाली बुलेट ट्रेनों के इन रेल मार्गों पर शुरू होने से आम ट्रेनों की उच्च श्रेणियों में सफर करने वाले यात्री बुलेट ट्रेन को प्राथमिकता देने लगेंगे। जाहिर है, इससे सामान्य ट्रेनों में आम यात्रियों के लिए अधिक सीटें उपलब्ध होने लगेंगी। लोग निजी वाहनों या हवाई जहाज की जगह बुलेट ट्रेन को चुनेंगे, तो इससे सड़कों पर वाहनों का दबाव कम होगा और वायु प्रदूषण कम होगा। इस तरह भारतीय रेल के मौजूदा नेटवर्क का तनाव घट जाएगा और यात्रा भी सुगम होगी।

बुलेट ट्रेन से लंबी दूरी की यात्राएं बहुत कम समय में पूरी होंगी (जैसे मुंबई-अहमदाबाद का सफर 7-8 घंटे की जगह 3 घंटे से भी कम समय में)। बुलेट ट्रेन की बेहतर कनेक्टिविटी से व्यापारिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा मिलने की प्रबल संभावना है, जिससे देश का आर्थिक विकास तेज होगा। विकसित देशों में बुलेट ट्रेनें उच्च सुरक्षा मानक और आरामदेह यात्रा के लिए जानी जाती हैं। भारत में जापानी तकनीक के साथ भारतीय कल-पूर्जी का उपयोग ‘मेक इन इंडिया’ पहल को भी मजबूती प्रदान करेगा। इस तरह हम जल्द ही पाएंगे कि विकसित होते भारत में अत्यधिक तीव्र गति से चलने वाली बुलेट ट्रेनें अनिवार्य साधन बन गई हैं।

The country’s first bullet train project appears to be in its final stages. Recently, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the first bullet train will begin operations in India on August 15, 2027. This train will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Work on this railway project has been underway for several years. Last November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reviewed the progress of this high-speed rail corridor. There are several advantages to operating bullet trains in the country. These benefits include saving time, boosting economic development, creating jobs, reducing road traffic congestion and pollution, and promoting technological advancement. This train will offer passengers a safe, comfortable, and fast travel option, increasing connectivity and trade opportunities between cities. It will also be environmentally friendly and strengthen the ‘Make in India’ initiative. In fact, operating bullet trains on routes that experience heavy traffic throughout the year is crucial and beneficial. Besides Mumbai-Ahmedabad, the routes of the Eastern and Northern Railways are prominent examples. If bullet trains are introduced on routes from Delhi to Howrah and Guwahati via Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, it will not only increase railway revenue but also provide significant convenience to passengers. With bullet trains reaching destinations in a shorter time, passengers who currently travel in the higher classes of regular trains will likely prioritize the bullet train. This will, in turn, free up more seats for ordinary passengers on regular trains. If people choose bullet trains over private vehicles or airplanes, it will reduce traffic congestion on roads and decrease air pollution. This will alleviate the strain on the existing Indian Railways network and make travel smoother.

Bullet trains will significantly reduce travel time for long-distance journeys (for example, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad journey will take less than 3 hours instead of 7-8 hours). The improved connectivity offered by bullet trains is highly likely to boost business activities, accelerating the country’s economic growth. In developed countries, bullet trains are known for their high safety standards and comfortable travel. The use of Indian components along with Japanese technology in India will also strengthen the ‘Make in India’ initiative. In this way, we will soon find that high-speed bullet trains have become an essential mode of transport in a developing India.
