Microsoft has introduced a new, lightweight AI model called ‘Fara-7b’ that automates web tasks directly on your device, without the need for the cloud. The model is trained with 7 billion parameters and Microsoft’s own FaraGen data, which understands screenshots. Processing large tasks with Fara-7b costs approximately $0.025 per task, which is 10 times cheaper than larger models like GPT-4.
