पूरे मन से करें प्रयास
सत्संग में बैठना सौभाग्य है, यह अवसर बहुत कम लोगों को मिलता है। भगवान भी कितने खुश होते होंगे कि हम लोग इस घनघोर कलयुग में भी सत्संग में बैठते हैं। सोचकर देखिए, अभी दुनिया में करोड़ों-करोड़ों लोग क्या-क्या कर रहे होंगे, आप भी घर में होते, तो कुछ करते, लेकिन अभी सत्संग में आप जो कर रहे हैं, उससे अच्छा, कहीं और होते, तो नहीं कर रहे होते।
अभी हम लोग मोक्ष यज्ञ के संपादन में लगे हैं। हैं। यह सबसे बड़ा काम है। हम कानों का उपयोग कर रहे हैं, हम मन का उपयोग कर रहे हैं, हम चित्त का उपयोग कर हैं। हम अपने शरीर के सभी अंगों का उपयोग कर रहे रहे हैं। भगवान की आराधना में धीरे-धीरे हमारा मन पिघल रहा है। विश्वास की ओर बढ़ रहा है। समर्पण की ओर बढ़ रहा है। निष्ठा की ओर बढ़ रहा है। आज नहीं तो कल, भगवान को पिघलना ही होगा।
हर व्यक्ति का संकल्प बड़ा होना चाहिए और ऐसा पूर्ण रीति से होने की जरूरत है। मैं कभी पंजाब में अपने भक्तों से पूछता हूं, तुम भी कुछ भजन-कीर्तन करते हो या नहीं? पंजाब वाले भक्त कहते हैं, माढ़ा-मोटा पूजन करता हूं। मतलब थोड़ा-बहुत पूजन करता हूं।
मैं उनसे पूछता हूं, जब दुकान पर जाकर इतने घंटे बैठते हो, तो दो रुपये मिलते हैं, तो दो अगरबत्ती दो मिनट घुमाने से तुम्हें भगवान क्या देंगे, बताना तो? घंटा-दो घंटा पढ़ने से कोई आईएएस की परीक्षा पास करेगा क्या ? थोड़ी पढ़ाई से कोई बड़ी परीक्षा में टॉप करेगा क्या? दो-चार दंड बैठक करने से हिंद केसरी होगा क्या? देश का सबसे बड़ा पहलवान होगा क्या? नहीं होगा। जो हम धन कमाने के लिए करते हैं, जो हम भोग कमाने के लिए करते हैं, जो हम धर्म कमाने के लिए करते हैं, उससे बहुत ज्यादा जब हम मोक्ष कमाने के लिए करेंगे, तब हमारा जीवन धन्य होगा।
जगद्गुरु वल्लभाचार्य जी ने लिखा है, अर्थ कहते हैं धन को, धन कमाने के लिए हम कितना प्रयास करते हैं, तो भगवान तो परमार्थ हैं, परम अर्थ हैं, सबसे बड़ा धन हैं। उन्हें कमाने के लिए बहुत-बहुत, लाखों-लाखों, करोड़ों-करोड़ों गुना ज्यादा प्रयास की जरूरत है, अधिक प्रयास की जरूरत है। अभी वाला कम प्रयास नहीं चलेगा। दो मिनट केवल ध्यान, पूजन करने से, इलायची दाना भोग लगाने से नहीं चलेगा।
आदमी अपने बच्चों को कितनी देर तक खेलाता, खिलाता है, लेकिन भगवान के पास बैठने पर दम घुटने लगता है। बच्चों को पालना आसान नहीं है, घंटों-घंटों लग जाते हैं। माताएं सेवा में लगी रहती हैं, तब बच्चा निखरकरे समाज के सामने आता है। यह सोचना चाहिए कि हम अपने जीवन में क्या बनना चाहते हैं और वैसा बनने के लिए हम कितना समय-संसाधन लगा रहे हैं?
जगद्गुरु वल्लभाचार्य जी ने लिखा है, अर्थ कहते हैं धन को, धन कमाने के लिए हम कितने प्रयास करते हैं, तो भगवान तो परमार्थ हैं, उन्हें कमाने के लिए बहुत-बहुत प्रयास चाहिए।

Sitting in Satsang (spiritual assembly) is a privilege—an opportunity granted to very few people. How pleased the Lord must be to see that, even amidst this intense Kaliyuga (the Age of Darkness), we choose to sit in Satsang. Just pause and reflect: consider what millions upon millions of people around the world might be doing right now. Had you remained at home, you too would likely have been engaged in some activity; however, what you are doing right now—sitting in Satsang—is far superior to anything you would have been doing had you been anywhere else.
At this very moment, we are engaged in the performance of the Moksha Yajna (the Sacrifice for Liberation). This is the greatest undertaking of all. We are utilizing our ears; we are engaging our minds; we are directing our consciousness. We are dedicating every faculty of our physical bodies to this endeavor. Through this worship of the Lord, our minds are gradually softening—melting away. Our minds are moving steadily toward faith, toward surrender, and toward unwavering devotion. If not today, then surely tomorrow, the Lord Himself is bound to yield to our devotion.
Every individual’s resolve must be grand, and it must be pursued with absolute completeness. Whenever I visit Punjab, I often ask my devotees there: “Do you engage in any Bhajan or Kirtan (devotional singing)?” The devotees from Punjab typically reply: “Maadha-mota pujan karta hoon.” This translates to: “I perform just a little bit of worship—something rather meager.”
I then ask them: “When you sit at your shop for hours on end, you earn a few rupees; so tell me, what do you expect the Lord to grant you if you merely wave two incense sticks for two minutes?” Can anyone pass the rigorous IAS examination by studying for just an hour or two? Can anyone top a major competitive exam with only a cursory amount of study? Can one become a Hind Kesari (India’s Champion Wrestler)—the greatest wrestler in the country—by performing a mere handful of push-ups and squats? Certainly not. Our lives will truly become blessed only when we dedicate an effort toward attaining Moksha—spiritual liberation—that is far greater than the effort we currently expend to earn material wealth, to acquire worldly pleasures, or even to fulfill our religious duties.
Jagadguru Vallabhacharya Ji has written: The term Artha refers to material wealth. We expend such immense effort to acquire this wealth; yet, the Lord Himself is the Paramartha—the Supreme Wealth, the Ultimate Treasure. To attain Him, an effort that is—by millions upon millions, even billions of times—greater is required; a far more intense effort is needed. The meager effort currently being expended will not suffice. Merely devoting two minutes to meditation and worship, or simply offering a few cardamom sweets as Bhog, will not be enough.
A person will happily spend hours playing with and feeding their children; yet, when it comes to sitting in the presence of God, they begin to feel stifled. Raising children is no easy task; it consumes hours upon hours of time. It is only because mothers remain ceaselessly engaged in their care and service that a child eventually blossoms and emerges as a refined individual before society. We must reflect upon what we truly aspire to become in our lives, and then honestly assess how much time and how many resources we are actually investing to realize that aspiration.

Consider the immense effort we expend merely to earn money; if such effort is required for material gain, then surely, to attain God—who represents the Paramartha (the Ultimate Spiritual Wealth)—an infinitely greater effort is absolutely indispensable.
