कर्म का सही स्वरूप
कोई कट्टर विरोधी भी अच्छी बात कहे, तो हमें कहना चाहिए- वाह ! नकारात्मकता से सदैव बचना चाहिए। धर्म का जो असली स्वरूप है, वह बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। उससे कहीं कोई बच नहीं सकता। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति व्यक्ति के जीवन जीने का अपना तरीका होता है, लेकिन समर्थ लोग सबके लिए नियमावली बनाते हैं। सब नियम से जब चलता है, तो अच्छा लगता है।
यदि भारतीय संविधान नहीं होता, तो इतने दिनों में जो विकास हुआ है, वह कोई हमारे विकास या आपके घर के संविधान से तो नहीं हुआ है? विकास संविधान से हुआ है, यही राष्ट्र-धर्म है। संविधान में त्रुटियां हो सकती हैं, उसमें संशोधन हुए हैं और भी होने चाहिए। न्यूटन के बनाए हुए अनुसंधान में संशोधन हो रहा है। आइंस्टीन की खोज में संशोधन हो रहा है। धीरे-धीरे बुद्धि का विकास होता गया, तो तकनीकी विकास भी हुआ। राष्ट्र-धर्म है कि हम भारतीय संविधान की पालना करें। कौन कहता है कि बायीं तरफ से नहीं चलना चाहिए, दायीं तरफ से चलना चाहिए। एक चले बाएं से, दूसरा चले दाएं से, दोनों ही चलें। यही नियम है। है। जिसे हम सनातन दाए से, दोना धर्म कहते हैं, वह पूरी दुनिया के लोगों ने अपने जीवन में सकारात्मक विकास के लिए बनाया था।
जब कोई नियम नहीं था, तब वेदने बताया। जब कोई संविधान नहीं था, तब दुनिया का एक ही संविधान था-वेद, जिसने कहा- सत्यम् वद् । आज भी यही कहा और माना जाता है। अमेरिका में लोगों को हर तरह की आजादी है, लेकिन जब अमेरिका का एक राष्ट्रपति का झूठ पकड़ा गया, तो पूरे देश ने कहा कि इस राष्ट्रपति को बाहर करो, झूठा आदमी राष्ट्रपति नहीं होगा। हमारे यहां ब्रह्मचर्य के तमाम भेद बताए गए हैं। यदि कोई व्यक्ति किसी औरत को बुरी नीयत से देखता है, तो यह व्यभिचार है। यदि बुरी नीयत से स्पर्श करता है, मधुर बातें करता है, तो भी यह व्यभिचार है। सबको कहा गया कि व्यभिचार से बचो। निश्चित रूप से से हमारे देश की तुलना में अमेरिका में वर्जनाएं कम हैं, हमारे यहां से वहां खुलापन भी ज्यादा है, किंतु जब लेविंस्की प्रकरण हुआ, तो लोगों ने कहा कि बिल क्लिंटन जैसा राष्ट्रपति नहीं चाहिए। बड़े आदमी का उद्देश्य बड़ा होना चाहिए। जिसे पूरा देश अपनी उंगली पकर पकड़ा चुका है, यदि वह आदमी एक छोटे कर्मचारी को अपनी उंगली थमा दे, तो वह अक्षम हो जाएगा। व्यभिचार कतई नहीं चलेगा। उन्मुक्तता के पक्षधर अमेरिका में भी हल्ला मच गया, बहुत मुश्किल से क्लिंटन की गद्दी बची थी।
धर्म का सीधा-सा स्वरूप है, जो हमारे जीवन का विकास स करे, करे, जिससे दूसरे को कोई कष्ट न हो, दूसरे की कोई हानि नहीं हो, यह जो विकास की पद्धति है, यह जो कर्म का स्वरूप है, यही धर्म है।

Even if a staunch opponent says something good, we should say, “Wow!” We should always avoid negativity. The true nature of religion is very important. No one can escape it. Every person has their own way of living, but powerful people create rules for everyone. When everything runs according to the rules, it feels good.
If there were no Indian Constitution, would the development that has taken place over the years have happened because of our individual development or the constitution of your home? Development has happened because of the Constitution; this is the national duty. There may be flaws in the Constitution; amendments have been made, and more should be made. Newton’s research is being amended. Einstein’s discoveries are being amended. As intelligence gradually developed, technological development also occurred. It is our national duty to abide by the Indian Constitution. Who says you shouldn’t walk on the left side, but on the right? One walks on the left, the other on the right, both walk. That’s the rule. What we call Sanatana Dharma was created by people all over the world for positive development in their lives.
When there were no rules, the Vedas provided them. When there was no constitution, there was only one constitution in the world—the Vedas, which said, “Speak the truth.” Even today, this is said and believed. In America, people have all kinds of freedom, but when an American president’s lie was exposed, the whole country said that this president should be removed; a liar cannot be president. In our country, various aspects of celibacy have been described. If a person looks at a woman with bad intentions, it is adultery. If they touch her with bad intentions, or speak sweet words, it is also adultery. Everyone is told to avoid adultery. Certainly, there are fewer restrictions in America compared to our country; there is more openness there, but when the Lewinsky scandal happened, people said that they didn’t want a president like Bill Clinton. A great man’s purpose should be great. If a man, whom the entire country has entrusted with its fate, were to hand over his authority to a subordinate, he would become incompetent. Adultery is absolutely unacceptable. Even in America, a country known for its liberalism, there was an uproar, and Clinton barely managed to save his presidency.
The essence of religion is simple: that which fosters the development of our lives, without causing any harm or suffering to others. This method of development, this form of action, is what constitutes religion.
