Google has added a new security feature to Android 16. It will protect the smartphone from unsecured mobile networks. This feature will alert the user when the device connects to a network that asks for identity information. This feature will not work in older Android phones. Its first use may be in Pixel 10, which is expected to come later this year. This new feature will protect against devices that fraudulently connect to the smartphone by pretending to be a cell tower.
