बुरा समय
एक राजा की सेवा से प्रसन्न होकर एक साधु ने उसे एक ताबीज दिया। साधु ने कहा, ‘राजन, इसे गले में पहन लो। जब तुम्हें लगे कि अब सब खत्म होने वाला है, कोई आशा की किरण न हो, तब इसे खोलकर पढ़ लेना। याद रखें, उससे पहले इसे नहीं पढ़ना।’
राजा ने साधु की बात मानी। एक बार शिकार करते समय राजा अपने सैनिकों से बिछड़कर दुश्मनराजा की सीमा में प्रवेश कर गया। दुश्मन सैनिकों के घोड़ों की टापों की आवाज सुनकर राजा तेजी से भागा। राजा को लगातार दुश्मन राज्य के सैनिकों के घोड़ों की टापें सुनाई दे रही थीं। भूख-प्यास से बेहाल राजा को एक गुफा दिखी, जिसमें वह छिप गया। दुश्मन करीब आने लगे और राजा को अंत नजर आने लगा।
निराशा में उसका हाथ ताबीज पर गया और उसे साधु की बात याद आई। उसने तुरंत ताबीज खोला।
उसमें एक पर्ची रखी थी। राजा ने पर्ची निकाली। उस पर लिखा था- ‘यह बुरा समय भी कट जाएगा।’
राजा को यह पढ़कर अकथनीय शांति मिली। उसे लगा कि सचमुच यह भयानक समय भी निकल जाएगा। हुआ भी यही। दुश्मन के घोड़ों की आवाज पास आते-आते दूर जाने लगी। अब वहां किसी के होने की आवाज नहीं आ रही थी। राजा रात में गुफा से बाहर निकला और किसी तरह अपने राज्य में सुरक्षित वापस आ गया।
दोस्तो, यह कहानी हमें सिखाती है कि जीवन में जब भी निराशा और हताशा हो, तो हमें शांति से बैठकर गहरी सांस लेनी चाहिए और इस ब्रह्मांड पर भरोसा रखते हुए कहना चाहिए- ‘यह बुरा समय भी कट जाएगा।’ एक बार इसे आजमाकर देखें, यह विचार हमें उस कठिन परिस्थिति से उबरने, हौसला बनाए रखने की शक्ति देगा।
Pleased with a king’s service, a sage gave him an amulet. The sage said, “King, wear this around your neck. When you feel that everything is about to end, that there is no ray of hope, open it and read it. Remember, do not read it before then.”
The king obeyed the sage’s advice. Once, while hunting, he became separated from his soldiers and entered the enemy’s territory. Hearing the sound of the enemy’s horses’ hooves, the king ran quickly. He could hear the enemy’s horses’ hooves continuously. Driven by hunger and thirst, the king found a cave and hid in it. The enemies began to draw closer, and the king’s end became apparent.
In desperation, his hand fell on the amulet and he remembered the sage’s words. He immediately opened it.
A note was placed inside. The king took out the note. It read, “This bad time will also pass.”
Reading it, the king felt an indescribable peace. He felt that this terrible time would indeed pass. And that’s exactly what happened. The sound of the enemy’s horses coming closer and then fading away. There was no sign of anyone being there anymore. The king left the cave at night and somehow returned safely to his kingdom.
Friends, this story teaches us that whenever we face disappointment and despair in life, we should sit quietly, take a deep breath, trust in the universe, and say, “This bad time too shall pass.” Give it a try; this thought will give us the strength to overcome that difficult situation and maintain our courage.
