Crisis Exacerbated by Rumors Spread by the Opposition

विपक्ष द्वारा फैलाई अफवाह से बढ़ा संकट

यह कोई छिपा तथ्य नहीं है कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय घटनाक्रम पूरे विश्व को प्रभावित करते हैं। युद्ध, जैसे हालात तो और भी ज्यादा। इसीलिए सभी राष्ट्र अपने नागरिकों के हितों को ध्यान में रखते हुए विदेश नीति बनाते हैं, जिसका समर्थन प्रत्येक नागरिक द्वारा किया जाना अपेक्षित होता है। स्वस्थ लोकतंत्र के लिए यह आवश्यक भी है कि युद्ध के समय हर राजनीतिक दल व नागरिक तमाम मतभेदों को भुलाकर राष्ट्र की नीतियों का स्वागत करें और अपने देश के साथ दृढ़ता से खड़े रहें। भारत का दुर्भाग्य है कि संकीर्ण राजनीतिक स्वार्थ के कारण सत्ता से बेदखल किए गए राजनीतिक दल सरकार को बदनाम करने और देश में अराजकता फैलाने का कोई अवसर नहीं चूकना चाहते। वे साथ देने के बजाय सरकार को अस्थिर करने का ही प्रयास करते रहते हैं और अपने शासनकाल की अव्यवस्थाओं को भूलकर अफवाह फैलाने में जुट जाते हैं। इजरायल-अमेरिका और ईरान युद्ध में पेट्रोलियम पदार्थों की आपूर्ति में आपू व्यवधान को देश का विपक्ष आपदा में अवसर समझ रहा है और सरकार को घेरने का प्रयास कर रहा है। यदि ऐसा न होता, तो अचानक एलपीजी गैस सिलेंडरों की कमी की अफवाह फैलाकर लोगों को गैस एजेंसियों के बाहर कतार में न खड़ा कराया जाताः विपक्ष संसद से लेकर सड़क तक सरकार-विरोधी विमर्श का प्रसार न करता। हालांकि, मुद्दा सिर्फ पेट्रोलियम पदार्थों व गैस की कथित किल्लत को बढ़ा-चढ़ाकर जनता को भ्रमित करने तक सीमित नहीं है। मुद्दा यह भी है कि जब एकजुट होकर अप्रत्याशित आपदा का सामना करने का समय हो, तब विपक्ष द्वारा देश में अराजकता का वातावरण बनाने का प्रयास किया जाना कितना उचित है?

ईरान और इजरायल-अमेरिका युद्ध के कारण हमारे देश में कच्चे तेल सहित कई जरूरी सामग्रियों की आवाजाही बाधित हो रही है। ऐसे में, सरकार का साथ देने के बजाय संसद में विपक्ष बार-बार आलोचना में जुटा है। जब सरकार गैस, तेल व अन्य आवश्यक सामग्रियों की अबाध आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने के लिए दिन-रात प्रयास कर रही हो, तब इस तरह लोगों को भ्रमित करना उचित नहीं। देश में किसी को परेशानी न हो, इसके लिए सरकार ने जरूरी कदम भी उठाए हैं। इसलिए विपक्ष को सहयोग करना चाहिए और लोगों तक राहत पहुंचाने में सरकार की मदद करनी चाहिए, क्योंकि देश और जनता की भलाई की जिम्मेदारी सत्ता और विपक्ष, दोनों की है। मात्र आलोचना करना विपक्ष का काम नहीं, बल्कि संकट के समय उसे सत्ता का सहयोग भी करना चाहिए।

It is no hidden fact that international developments impact the entire world. Situations akin to war do so even more profoundly. Consequently, all nations formulate their foreign policies with the interests of their citizens in mind—policies that every citizen is expected to support. For a healthy democracy, it is also imperative that during times of war, every political party and citizen sets aside all differences to endorse national policies and stand firmly with their country. It is India’s misfortune that, driven by narrow political self-interest, political parties ousted from power seize every opportunity to malign the government and sow chaos within the nation. Rather than offering support, they ceaselessly attempt to destabilize the government, conveniently forgetting the mismanagement of their own tenures as they dedicate themselves to spreading rumors. The country’s opposition views the potential disruption in the supply of petroleum products—stemming from the conflict involving Israel, the US, and Iran—as an “opportunity within a crisis,” which they are exploiting to corner the government. Were this not the case, they would not have suddenly spread rumors regarding a shortage of LPG cylinders, compelling people to queue up outside gas agencies; nor would the opposition have propagated an anti-government narrative ranging from the floor of Parliament to the streets. However, the issue is not limited merely to misleading the public by exaggerating the alleged scarcity of petroleum products and gas. The fundamental question is: how appropriate is it for the opposition to attempt to create an atmosphere of anarchy within the country precisely when the need of the hour is to stand united in the face of an unforeseen crisis?

Due to the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the US, the movement of various essential commodities—including crude oil—is facing disruptions in our country. In such a scenario, instead of extending its support to the government, the opposition in Parliament remains ceaselessly engaged in criticism. At a time when the government is working day and night to ensure the uninterrupted supply of gas, oil, and other essential commodities, it is wholly inappropriate to mislead the public in this manner. The government has, in fact, already taken necessary measures to ensure that no citizen faces any hardship. Therefore, the opposition should cooperate and assist the government in delivering relief to the people, as the responsibility for the well-being of the nation and its citizens rests with both the ruling party and the opposition. The role of the opposition is not limited merely to criticism; rather, during times of crisis, it must also extend its cooperation to the government.
