मंगल पर पहली बार बिजली का सबूत मिला
वाशिंगटन, एजेंसी। अंतरिक्ष वैज्ञानिक वर्षों से इस सवाल का जवाब खोज रहे हैं कि क्या मंगल ग्रह पर बिजली होती है। नासा के पर्सिवियरेंस रोवर ने इसका पता लगा लिया है।
नेचर में प्रकाशित रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, रोवर ने पहली बार मंगल पर बिजली कड़कड़ने की आवाज कैद की है। ये जय आंधियों और गुबार के दौरान हुई। वैज्ञानिक इसे मिनी बिजली कह रहे हैं।
फ्रांस में इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर रिसर्च इन एस्ट्रोफिजिक्स एंड प्लैनेटोलॉजी के वैज्ञानिक बैप्टिस्ट चिडे ने करीब दो साल की रिकॉर्डिंग के बाद रोवर में 55 बार इलेक्ट्रिकल डिस्चार्ज पकड़े हैं। यह मंगल के हल्के वातावरण में विद्युत गतिविधि का पहला साक्ष्य सबूत है। इस खोज से मंगल अब पृथ्वी, शनि और बृहस्पति के साथ उन ग्रहों में शामिल हो गया है जिनके वातावरण में विद्युत गतिविधि होने के बारे में जानकारी है।
शोधकर्ताओं ने बताया कि उत्तरी गोलार्ध में जेजेरो क्रेटर नामक स्थान पर 2021 से मौजूद छह पहियों वाले रोवर के सुपरकैम माइक्रोफोन से मिले 28 घंटे के डेटा का विश्लेषण किया गया। यह रोवर माइक्रोफोन आवाज के साथ इलेक्ट्रोमैग्नेटिक सिग्नल भी रिकॉर्ड करता है।

According to a report published in Nature, the rover has captured the sound of lightning on Mars for the first time. This occurred during hailstorms and dust storms. Scientists are calling it “mini-lightning.”
Baptiste Chide, a scientist at the Institute for Research in Astrophysics and Planetology in France, has detected 55 electrical discharges in the rover after nearly two years of recording. This is the first evidence of electrical activity in Mars’ thin atmosphere. This discovery now joins Earth, Saturn, and Jupiter as planets known to have electrical activity in their atmospheres.
Researchers analyzed 28 hours of data from the six-wheeled rover’s SuperCam microphone, which has been in operation since 2021 at Jezero Crater in the northern hemisphere. This rover microphone also records electromagnetic signals along with sound.
