One Canadian homeowner has become so tired of people coming on to his property to play Pokemon Go that he decided to tell them how he felt with a sign that compared it to other fads.
The sign then instructs players to ‘get a life’ and ‘grab a beer’ rather than go searching for Pokemon.

‘This is a PRIVATE yard, for tenants of this building only, NOT for pokermawar Pokemon chasing’ the sign, posted on
Then, written in all caps locks, it reads: ‘Get a life and stay out of my yard’.

One Canadian homeowner has become so tired of people coming on to his property to play Pokemon Go that he decided to tell them how he felt with a sign that comapred it to other fads
But the homeowner, believed to be located in Vancouver, is not quite done with his lecture yet.
‘This whole Pokemon hunt is by far the stupidest thing I have ever seen,’ he writes.
The homeowner then proceeds to list nine things he believes were less stupid then the popular Pokemon game that has taken the world by storm.
They include beloved 90s fads like MC Hammer pants, Crystal Pepsi, and the Macarena dance.
Ronald Reagan’s trickle-down economics, the George W Bush presidency, and ‘people taking Jean Chretien seriously’, referencing the former Canadian prime minister who served from 1993 to 2003, also made the list.
The homeowner likewise pokes fun at the ‘Will-ennium’, which seems to be a reference to Will Smith’s 1999 album, as well as the ‘Ten seasons of CSI: Miami’.
‘There is a bar up the street and around the corner,’ the homeowner reveals at the end of the sign. ‘Go there, have a beer, and think about your life choices.’

Some commenters were more outraged that the homeowner dared to diss Crystal Pepsi, a beloved 90s drink returning in August, rather than the fact that he made fun of Pokemon Go players
Many commenters criticized the homeowner for being grumpy, posting gifs of Clint Eastwood in comparison, while others joked about how the sign seemed out of character for a Canadian.
‘Damn, I bet he sits home all day with a scowl on his face and drinks coffee while staring at a wall,’ one wrote.
‘Clearly a Canadian at their angriest,’ another said. ‘Not a “please” or “thank you” to be found.’
Others took issue with the fact that the homeowner thought sitting in a bar was a better life choice then getting up and being outside.
‘Ah, because sitting around getting drunk is so very superior to walking around,’ one commenter wrote.
Many were more angry that the homeowner dared to critique Crystal Pepsi rather than the fact that he made fun of Pokemon players.
But one commenter launched a conspiracy theory, believing that what the homeowner was really doing was strategy.
‘That person must have some rare Pokemon in their yard and is boggarting them,’ the commenter wrote.
‘Smart pokemaster.’
