यीशु एक बहता दरिया
यीशु मसीह कौन हैं? यह प्रश्न सदियों से बार-बार पूछा गया है और इसका उत्तर भी दिया गया है। लेकिन प्रश्न पूछने वाले गलत थे और उत्तर देने वाले भी, क्योंकि प्रश्न एक विशेष पूर्वाग्रह से प्रेरित था और उत्तर भी। दोनों मूल रूप से भिन्न नहीं थे, उनका स्रोत एक ही था।
यह सवाल उन लोगों ने पूछा था, जिन्हें यीशु के ईश्वरत्व पर संदेह था और इस सवाल का जवाब उन लोगों ने दिया, जो यीशु के मनुष्य होने पर विश्वास करने को तैयार नहीं थे। वे केवल उनके आधे हिस्से पर ही यकीन करने को राजी थे। यहूदी उन्हें मनुष्य मानने को तैयार थे, और ईसाई उन्हें ईश्वर मानने को। यहूदी उनके आधे मसीह वाले हिस्से को नकार रहे थे और ईसाई दूसरे हिस्से, यानी यीशु वाले हिस्से को नकार रहे थे।
आखिर यीशु मसीह कौन हैं? ईसाई उन्हें यीशु, मनुष्य के पुत्र के रूप में नहीं देखना चाहते; मांस, रक्त और हड्डियों से बने मनुष्य के रूप में, अन्य मनुष्यों की तरह मनुष्य के रूप में, और यहूदी उन्हें ईश्वर के रूप में, शुद्ध चेतना से निर्मित, मांस, रक्त और हड्डियों से नहीं, स्वीकार नहीं करना चाहते थे। किसी ने भी यीशु को उनके संपूर्ण स्वरूप में स्वीकार करने की इच्छा नहीं दिखाई। यह बात केवल यीशु के साथ नहीं है, बल्कि सभी गुरुओं, बुद्ध, कृष्ण, जरथुस्त्र के साथ भी है। जब तक आप यीशु को उनके संपूर्ण स्वरूप में अपने भीतर समाहित नहीं होने देंगे, तब तक आपका रूपांतरण नहीं होगा। जब तक आप उन्हें उनके वास्तविक स्वरूप में स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे, तब तक आप उनसे संपर्क नहीं कर पाएंगे। यीशु, यीशु भी हैं और मसीह भी और उन्हें इस बात का कोई संकोच नहीं है।
बाइबल में कई बार वह कहते हैं, मैं मनुष्य का पुत्र हूं और उतनी ही बार वह यह भी कहते हैं, मैं परमेश्वर का पुत्र हूं। ऐसा लगता है कि उन्हें इस बात का जरा भी आशय नहीं है कि इन दोनों में कोई विरोधाभास है। वास्तव में, कोई विरोधाभास नहीं है। विरोधाभास हमारे मन में है। उनका अस्तित्व दृश्य और अदृश्य, ज्ञात और अज्ञात के बीच समतावादी है। यीशु और मसीह दो किनारों के समान हैं और किसी नदी का प्रवाह तभी संभव है, जब दो किनारे हों। यीशु वह नदी हैं, जो इन दोनों किनारों के बीच बहती हैः दोनों किनारे उनके हैं। वह उनके बीच विद्यमान हैं।
यीशु मसीह कौन हैं- ईश्वर – ईश्वर या मनुष्य ? इस बाबत पूछे गए सभी प्रश्न गलत थे, और उनके उत्तर भी गलत थे। क्यों? क्योंकि प्रश्न या तो यहूदी ज्ञान से या मुस्लिम ज्ञान से या हिंदू ज्ञान से आए थे और उत्तर ईसाई ज्ञान से आए। ज्ञान इसका उत्तर नहीं दे सकता। वह शक्तिहीन है। इतने महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न केवल भोलेपन से पूछे जा सकते हैं, ज्ञान से नहीं। इस अंतर को समझना आवश्यक है।
जब तक आप यीशु को संपूर्ण स्वरूप में अपने में समाहित नहीं होने देंगे, आपका रूपांतरण नहीं होगा। जब तक आप उन्हें वास्तविक स्वरूप में स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे, उनसे संपर्क नहीं कर पाएंगे।
Who is Jesus Christ? This question has been asked and answered repeatedly throughout the centuries. But both the questioners and the answerers were wrong, because the question was motivated by a particular bias, and so was the answer. They were not fundamentally different; their source was the same.
The question was asked by those who doubted Jesus’ divinity, and the answer was given by those who were unwilling to accept Jesus’ humanity. They were only willing to accept half of him. The Jews were willing to accept him as a man, and the Christians as God. The Jews were denying the Christ part of him, and the Christians were denying the other part, the Jesus part.
Who, then, is Jesus Christ? Christians don’t want to see him as Jesus, the son of man; a man made of flesh, blood, and bones, a man like other men, and the Jews don’t want to accept him as God, made of pure consciousness, not of flesh, blood, and bones. Nobody has been willing to accept Jesus in his totality. This is not only true of Jesus, but of all the masters—Buddha, Krishna, Zarathustra. Unless you allow Jesus to enter into you in his totality, you will not be transformed. Unless you accept him in his true form, you will not be able to connect with him. Jesus is both Jesus and Christ, and he has no hesitation about it.
In the Bible, he says many times, “I am the son of man,” and just as many times he says, “I am the son of God.” He doesn’t seem to have any inkling that there is any contradiction between the two. In fact, there is no contradiction. The contradiction is in our minds. His existence is a synthesis between the visible and the invisible, the known and the unknown. Jesus and Christ are like two banks of a river, and the flow of a river is only possible when there are two banks. Jesus is the river that flows between these two banks: both banks belong to him. He exists between them.
Who is Jesus Christ—God or man? All the questions asked about this were wrong, and the answers given were also wrong. Why? Because the questions came either from Jewish knowledge, or Muslim knowledge, or Hindu knowledge, and the answers came from Christian knowledge. Knowledge cannot answer this. It is powerless. Such important questions can only be asked with innocence, not with knowledge. It is essential to understand this distinction.
Unless you allow Jesus to be completely absorbed within you, your transformation will not happen. Unless you accept him in his true form, you will not be able to connect with him.
