बढ़ती उड़ान के सामने खड़ी अनेक चुनौतियां

समाज में महिलाओं के लिए बढ़ती सुविधाओं और डिजिटल क्षेत्र में भागीदारी के बावजूद उन्हें कई सामाजिक, ढांचागत और तकनीकी चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ता है। आज महिलाएं केवल तकनीक का उपयोग करने वाली उपभोक्ता नहीं रह गई हैं, बल्कि वे नवाचार करने वाली, उद्यमी, शिक्षिका और नेतृत्वकारी भूमिका निभाने वाली सक्रिय शक्ति बनती जा रही हैं। वे डिजिटल दुनिया के निर्माण और विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे रही हैं।

फिर भी डिजिटल युग में महिलाओं की भागीदारी अभी भी समान और संतुलित नहीं है। इसके सामने कई चुनौतियां मौजूद हैं। सबसे बड़ी समस्या डिजिटल लैंगिक अंतर (डिजिटल जेंडर डिवाइड) की है। दुनिया के कई हिस्सों, विशेषकर विकासशील देशों में, महिलाओं के पास पुरुषों की तुलना में स्मार्टफोन, कंप्यूटर और इंटरनेट की सुविधाएं कम उपलब्ध हैं। आर्थिक असमानता, सामाजिक मान्यताएं और पारिवारिक प्रतिबंध कई बार महिलाओं को डिजिटल तकनीक के उपयोग से दूर रखते हैं। तकनीकी नेतृत्व में महिलाओं की कम उपस्थिति एक गंभीर चिंता का विषय है। हालांकि, तकनीकी क्षेत्र महिलाओं की संख्या बढ़ रही है, फिर भी उच्च नेतृत्व पदों पर उनकी भागीदारी अभी भी सीमित है। कई बार लैंगिक भेदभाव, असमान अवसर और कार्यस्थल पर पक्षपात जैसी स्थितियां महिलाओं के करियर विकास में बाधा बनती हैं। वेतन असमानता, मार्गदर्शन की कमी और सहयोगी कार्य वातावरण का अभाव भी महिलाओं के सामने चुनौतियां खड़ी करता है।

सांस्कृतिक और सामाजिक परंपराएं भी कई बार महिलाओं की डिजिटल भागीदारी को प्रभावित करती हैं। अनेक समाजों में महिलाओं से अपेक्षा की जाती है कि वे घरेलू जिम्मेदारियों को प्राथमिकता दें और पेशेवर या तकनीकी क्षेत्रों में कम समय दें। ऐसी सामाजिक धारणाएं महिलाओं को नए अवसरों की खोज से रोकती हैं।

इन चुनौतियों को दूर करने के लिए समाज के सभी वर्गों को मिलकर प्रयास करने होंगे। सरकारों को ऐसी नीतियां बनानी चाहिए, जो सस्ती इंटरनेट सेवाएं, मजबूत डिजिटल ढांचा और लैंगिक समानता को बढ़ावा दें। तकनीकी कंपनियों को ऐसे डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म विकसित करने चाहिए, जो ग्राहकों के लिए सुरक्षित हों और साइबर उत्पीड़न को रोकने के प्रभावी उपाय प्रदान करें। शैक्षणिक संस्थानों को लड़कियों को उचित अवसर प्रदान करने चाहिए।

Despite increasing access and participation in the digital sphere for women in society, they face numerous social, structural, and technological challenges. Today, women are no longer merely consumers of technology; they are also becoming active innovators, entrepreneurs, educators, and leaders. They are making significant contributions to the creation and development of the digital world.

Yet, women’s participation in the digital age is still not equitable and balanced. Numerous challenges remain. The most significant problem is the digital gender divide. In many parts of the world, especially developing countries, women have less access to smartphones, computers, and the internet than men. Economic inequality, social norms, and family restrictions often prevent women from using digital technology. The low presence of women in technical leadership is a serious concern. Although the number of women in the technology sector is increasing, their participation in senior leadership positions remains limited. Gender discrimination, unequal opportunities, and workplace bias often hinder women’s career growth. Pay disparities, lack of guidance, and a lack of a supportive work environment also pose challenges for women.

Cultural and social norms also often impact women’s digital participation. In many societies, women are expected to prioritize household responsibilities and dedicate less time to professional or technical fields. Such social stereotypes prevent women from exploring new opportunities.

To overcome these challenges, concerted efforts are required from all sections of society. Governments should enact policies that promote affordable internet services, robust digital infrastructure, and gender equality. Technology companies should develop digital platforms that are safe for customers and provide effective measures to prevent cyberbullying. Educational institutions should provide equal opportunities to girls.
