आज्ञा पालन
एक समय की बात है। रेगिस्तान के किनारे स्थित एक गाँव में एक व्यापारी रहता था। वह ऊँटों का व्यापार करता था। वह ऊँटों के बच्चों को खरीदकर उन्हें शक्तिशाली बनाकर बेचा करता था। इससे वह ढेर सारा लाभ कमाता था।
व्यापारी ऊँटों को पास के जंगल में घास चरने के लिए भेज देता था। जिससे उनके चारे का खर्च बचता था। उनमें से एक ऊँट का बच्चा बहुत शैतान था। उसकी हरकतें पूरे समूह की चिंता का विषय था। वह प्राय: समूह से दूर चलता था और इस कारण पीछे रह जाता था। बड़े ऊँट हरदम उसे समझाते थे पर वह नहीं सुनता था इसलिए उन सब ने उसकी परवाह करना छोड़ दिया था।
व्यापारी को उस छोटे ऊँट से बहुत प्रेम था इसलिए उसने उसके गले में घंटी बाँध रखी थी। जब भी वह सिर हिलाता तो उसकी घंटी बजती थी जिससे उसकी चाल एवं स्थिति का पता चल जाता था।
एक बार उस स्थान से एक शेर गुजरा जहाँ ऊँट चर रहे थे। उसे ऊँट की घंटी के द्वारा उनके होने का पता चल गया था। उसने फसल में से झांककर देखा तो उसे ज्ञात हुआ कि ऊँट का बड़ा समूह है लेकिन वह ऊँटों पर हमला नहीं कर सकता था क्योंकि समूह में ऊँट उससे बलशाली थे। इस कारण वह मौके की तलाश में वहाँ छुपकर खड़ा हो गया।
समूह के एक बड़े ऊँट को खतरे का आभास हो गया। उसने समूह को गाँव वापस चलने की चेवातानी दी और उन्हें पास पास चलने को कहा। ऊँटों ने एक मंडली बनाकर जंगल से बाहर निकलना आरम्भ कर दिया। शेर ने मौके की तलाश में उनका पीछा करना शुरू कर दिया।
बड़े ऊँट ने विशेषकर छोटे ऊँट को सावधान किया था। कही वह कोई परेशानी न खड़ी कर दे। पर छोटे ऊँट ने ध्यान नहीं दिया और वह लापरवाही से चलता रहा।
छोटा ऊँट अपनी मस्ती में अन्य ऊँटों से पीछे रह गया। जब शेर ने उसको देखा तो वह उस पर झपट पड़ा। छोटा ऊँट अपनी जान बचाने के लिए इधर – उधर भागा, पर वह अपने आप को उस शेर से बचा नहीं पाया। उसका अंत बुरा हुआ क्योंकि उसने अपने बड़ों की आज्ञा का पालन नहीं किया था।
हमें अपनी भलाई के लिए अपने माता – पिता एवं बड़ों की आज्ञा का पालन करना चाहिए।
Once upon a time, in a village on the edge of the desert, lived a merchant who traded in camels. He would buy young camels, raise them until they were strong, and then sell them, making a considerable profit.
The merchant would send the camels to graze in the nearby forest to save on the cost of fodder. One of the young camels was very mischievous. His antics were a constant source of worry for the entire group. He often wandered away from the others and lagged behind. The older camels constantly tried to reason with him, but he wouldn’t listen, so they eventually gave up on him.
The merchant was very fond of this little camel, so he had tied a bell around its neck. Whenever the camel moved its head, the bell would ring, allowing the merchant to know its whereabouts.
One day, a lion passed by the place where the camels were grazing. He heard the sound of the camel’s bell and knew they were nearby. He peered through the bushes and saw a large group of camels, but he couldn’t attack them because the camels were stronger than him. So, he hid and waited for an opportunity.
One of the older camels sensed the danger. He warned the group to return to the village and told them to stay close together. The camels formed a tight group and began to leave the forest. The lion followed them, waiting for his chance.
The older camel had specifically warned the little camel to be careful, fearing he might cause trouble. But the little camel paid no attention and continued to wander carelessly.
Lost in his own world, the little camel fell behind the others. When the lion saw him, he pounced. The little camel ran here and there to save its life, but it couldn’t escape the lion. It met a terrible end because it had disobeyed its elders.
We should obey our parents and elders for our own good.
