यह सही है कि युद्ध हर समस्या का समाधान नहीं है, लेकिन कभी-कभी शांति लाने के लिए जंग की जरूरत होती है। पश्चिम एशिया का मौजूदा टकराव कुछ यही संदेश दे रहा है। ईरान जिस तरह से अपने परमाणु कार्यक्रम आगे बढ़ा रहा था, उससे स्वाभाविक ही खतरे की बू आ रही थी। जब कूटनीतिक प्रयास कमजोर हो गए, तभी इस युद्ध की शुरुआत की गई। अन्यथा, पहले दबाव बनाकर ईरान के परमाणु कार्यक्रम को रोकने की पुरजोर कोशिश की गई थी। बहरहाल, अव जबकि युद्ध का आगाज हो गया, यह जरूरी है कि ईरान को इस कदर बेहाल कर दिया जाए कि यह फिर से अपनी नापाक मंशा के बारे में सोच न सके। संप्रभुता का ख्याल रखना निश्चय ही जरूरी है, लेकिन जब कोई अपनी संप्रभुता को अपने कवच के रूप में इस्तेमाल करने लगे, तो विश्व शांति के लिए उस कवच को भेदना भी जरूरी होता है।

यह करना क्यों जरूरी था, इसका एहसास इसरी भी होता है कि फिलहाल दुनिया कई मोर्चों पर अस्थिर है, फिर भी इस युद्ध की शुरुआत की गई। रूस व यूक्रेन का युद्ध ती चौथे वर्ष में प्रवेश कर गया है और इजरायल व हमास के बीच भी तनाव बना हुआ है। यहां तक कि अफगानिस्तान और पाकिस्तान भी आपसी संघर्ष में उतर चुके हैं। ऐसे समय में, ईरान पर हमला किया गया, क्योंकि वहां की व्यवस्था वैश्विक शांति व्यवस्था के प्रतिकूल थी। यही कारण है कि ऊर्जा संकट की आशंका बढ़ने, आयात-निर्यात पर असर होने व विश्व अर्थव्यवस्था के प्रभावित होने के बावजूद अमेरिका-इजरायल ने मिलकर ईरान पर निशाना साधा, और उसके सर्वोच्च नेता की मार गिराया। अब चूंकि इस युद्ध का दायरा बढ़ चुका है, इसलिए समुद्री मार्ग की सुरक्षा कहीं अधिक अहम है।

अच्छा तो यही होता कि वैश्विक संस्थाएं ईरान को रोकने का काम करतीं। संयुक्त राष्ट्र से उम्मीद कहीं अधिक रही है, लेकिन दुखद है कि वह उम्मीदों पर खरा नहीं उतर पाती। अगर संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने पहल की होती, तो संभव है कि ईरान पर दबाव बनता और वह अपने परमाणु कार्यक्रम को रोक देता। मगर हुआ यूं कि संयुक्त राष्ट्र जैसी संस्थाएं बेअसर साबित हुई और ईरान अपनी मंशा में आगे बढ़ता रहा। अब जबकि एक बड़ा क्षेत्र इस युद्ध की चपेट में है, जरूरी है कि ईरान में पूरी तरह से इस्लामी सत्ता का अंत कर दिया जाए। वैसे भी, वहां के लोग अपनी शासन-व्यवस्था से नाराज हैं। उनकी नाराजगी को दूर करने के लिए शाह शासन की फिर से स्थापना हो जानी चाहिए।

The reason why this was necessary is also evident in the fact that the world is currently unstable on many fronts, yet this war was initiated. The war between Russia and Ukraine has entered its fourth year, and tensions remain high between Israel and Hamas. Even Afghanistan and Pakistan have become embroiled in the conflict. At this time, Iran was attacked because its situation was inimical to global peace. This is why, despite the growing threat of an energy crisis, the impact on imports and exports, and the global economy, the US and Israel jointly targeted Iran and assassinated its supreme leader. Now that the scope of this war has expanded, the security of the maritime route is even more important.

It would have been better if global institutions had acted to stop Iran. Expectations from the United Nations were high, but sadly, it has failed to live up to expectations. Had the United Nations taken the initiative, it might have pressured Iran and forced it to halt its nuclear program. However, institutions like the United Nations proved ineffective, and Iran continued to pursue its intentions. Now that a large region is engulfed in this war, it is essential to completely end Islamic rule in Iran. The people there are already dissatisfied with their regime. To allay their discontent, the Shah’s regime must be re-established.
