पूरी तरह बदले की भावना से प्रेरित सजा

बांग्लादेश की पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना को वहां के अंतरराष्ट्रीय अपराध न्यायाधिकरण ने फांसी की सजा सुनाई है। आरोप है कि उनके राज में जब हिंसक प्रदर्शन हुए थे, तब बहुत से लोग मारे गए थे और तनाव बढ़ने पर वह ढाका से भागकर भारत आ गई थीं। राजा का फर्ज होता है कि वह सुख और दुख में प्रजा के साथ खड़ा हो। खासतौर पर, दुख में प्रजा के साथ जरूर खड़ा होना चाहिए। शेख हसीना बेशक अपनी जान की परवाह करते हुए हमारे देश आ गई थीं, लेकिन उन्हें ऐसा नहीं करना चाहिए था। बल्कि, वहीं रहकर अपने देश की समस्या का हल निकालना चाहिए था और इसके लिए विदेशों से मदद मांगनी चाहिए थी। अब जब बांग्लादेश की अदालत ने उन्हें फांसी की सजा सुनाई है, तब भारत की इस पर क्या प्रतिक्रिया रहेगी, यह तो समय ही बताएगा। लेकिन इस पर गौर करना भी जरूरी है कि उनकी इस सजा की वजह कहीं यह तो नहीं कि वह हमारे देश की पनाह में हैं? बांग्लादेश के अंतरिम सरकार के प्रमुख मुहम्मद यूनुस को उन छात्रों और लोगों ने चुना है, जो हसीना के कट्टर विरोधी हैं। ये कट्टरपंथी भारत के प्रति भी नफरत की भावना रखते हैं।

बांग्लादेश की पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना को वहां की अदालत ने मृत्युदंड की सजा सुनाई है। यह कैसा न्याय है? देखा जाए, तो यह साफ तौर पर अन्याय है। शेख हसीना को अपनी सफाई देने का मौका दिए बिना उन्हें उन्हीं के देश की अदालत ने मृत्युदंड का फैसला सुना दिया और उन्हें कई लोगों की हत्या का मास्टरमाइंड घोषित कर दिया। औरत तो ममता और त्याग की मूर्ति होती है। ऐसे में, उनके मामले में बिना समुचित और निष्पक्ष सुनवाई किए सजा दे देना कितना गलत और न्याय-विरुद्ध है, यह हर व्यक्ति के दिमाग में चल रहा है। जब शेख हसीना प्रधानमंत्री के पद पर थीं, तब सारा कुछ सही चल रहा था। परंतु छात्र आंदोलन ने उन्हें अपराधी करार दिया और उन्हें अपनी जान बचाने के लिए वहां से भागकर भारत में शरण लेनी पड़ी। एक तरह से देखें, तो बांग्लादेश की ट्रिब्यूनल द्वारा सुनाई गई सजा से शेख हसीना की मुश्किलें बढ़ सकती हैं। उनके पिता शेख मुजीबुर्रहमान बांग्लादेश के संस्थापक राष्ट्रपति थे। उनकी भी हत्या एक सैन्य विद्रोह के दौरान कर दी गई थी। उनके विरोधी आज भी वहां सक्रिय हैं और वे शेख हसीना के प्रति उनके पिता को लेकर भी दुराग्रही होंगे। ऐसी स्थिति में शेख हसीना को बहुत सतर्क रहना चाहिए और भारत को भी चाहिए कि वह अपने इस हितैषी राजनेता की रक्षा करे।

In a way, the sentence handed down by the Bangladesh tribunal could increase Sheikh Hasina’s difficulties. Her father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was the founding President of Bangladesh. He too was assassinated during a military coup. His opponents are still active there, and they will harbor a grudge against Sheikh Hasina regarding her father as well. In such a situation, Sheikh Hasina should be extremely cautious, and India should also protect this well-wisher politician.
