It is not certain how long the virus that causes COVID-19 survives on surfaces, but it seems to behave like other coronaviruses. ℹ Stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority. Many countries around the world have seen cases of COVID-19 and several have seen outbreaks. Authorities in China and some other countries have succeeded in slowing or stopping their outbreaks. However, the situation is unpredictable so check regularly for the latest news.

You can reduce your chances of being infected or spreading COVID-19 by taking some simple precautions:

🧼 Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.

Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.

↔ Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

Why? When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.

🚫 Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth

Why? Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.

🤧 Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.

Why? Droplets spread virus. By following good respiratory hygiene you protect the people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19.

🏠 Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.

Why? National and local authorities will have the most up to date information on the situation in your area. Calling in advance will allow your health care provider to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This will also protect you and help prevent spread of viruses and other infections.

🧳 Keep up to date on the latest COVID-19 hotspots (cities or local areas where COVID-19 is spreading widely). If possible, avoid traveling to places – especially if you are an older person or have diabetes, heart or lung disease.

Why? You have a higher chance of catching COVID-19 in one of these areas.

🏠 Self-isolate by staying at home if you begin to feel unwell, even with mild symptoms such as headache, low grade fever (37.3°C or above) and slight runny nose, until you recover.

If it is essential for you to have someone bring you supplies or to go out, e.g. to buy food, then wear a mask to avoid infecting other people.

Why?
Avoiding contact with others and visits to medical facilities will allow these facilities to operate more effectively and help protect you and others from possible COVID-19 and other viruses.

🤒 If you develop fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical advice promptly as this may be due to a respiratory infection or other serious condition. Call in advance and tell your provider of any recent travel or contact with travelers.

Why?
Calling in advance will allow your health care provider to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This will also help to prevent possible spread of COVID-19 and other viruses.

💊 Are antibiotics effective in preventing or treating COVID-19?
No. Antibiotics do not work against viruses, they only work on bacterial infections. COVID-19 is caused by a virus, so antibiotics do not work. Antibiotics should not be used as a means of prevention or treatment of COVID-19. They should only be used as directed by a physician to treat a bacterial infection.

🧪 Are there any medicines or therapies that can prevent or cure COVID-19?

While some western, traditional or home remedies may provide comfort and alleviate symptoms of COVID-19, there is no evidence that current medicine can prevent or cure the disease. WHO does not recommend self-medication with any medicines, including antibiotics, as a prevention or cure for COVID-19. However, there are several ongoing clinical trials that include both western and traditional medicines. WHO will continue to provide updated information as soon as clinical findings are available.

💉 Is there a vaccine, drug or treatment for COVID-19?

Not yet. To date, there is no vaccine and no specific antiviral medicine to prevent or treat COVID-2019. However, those affected should receive care to relieve symptoms. People with serious illness should be hospitalized. Most patients recover thanks to supportive care.

Possible vaccines and some specific drug treatments are under investigation. They are being tested through clinical trials. WHO is coordinating efforts to develop vaccines and medicines to prevent and treat COVID-19.

🚮 How to put on, use, take off and dispose of a mask?

  1. Remember, a mask should only be used by health workers, care takers, and individuals with respiratory symptoms, such as fever and cough.
  2. Before touching the mask, clean hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water
  3. Take the mask and inspect it for tears or holes.
  4. Orient which side is the top side (where the metal strip is).
  5. Ensure the proper side of the mask faces outwards (the coloured side).
  6. Place the mask to your face. Pinch the metal strip or stiff edge of the mask so it moulds to the shape of your nose.
  7. Pull down the mask’s bottom so it covers your mouth and your chin.
  8. After use, take off the mask; remove the elastic loops from behind the ears while keeping the mask away from your face and clothes, to avoid touching potentially contaminated surfaces of the mask.
  9. Discard the mask in a closed bin immediately after use.
  10. Perform hand hygiene after touching or discarding the mask – Use alcohol-based hand rub or, if visibly soiled, wash your hands with soap and water.

📞 It is normal to feel sad, stressed, confused, scared or angry during a crisis. Talking to people you trust can help. Contact your friends and family.

🥦 If you must stay at home, maintain a healthy lifestyle – including proper diet, sleep, exercise and social contacts with loved ones at home and by email and phone with other family and friends.

🚭 Don’t use smoking, alcohol or other drugs to deal with your emotions. If you feel overwhelmed, talk to a health worker or counsellor. Have a plan, where to go to and how to seek help for physical and mental health needs if required.

ℹ Get the facts. Gather information that will help you accurately determine your risk so that you can take reasonable precautions. Find a credible source you can trust such as WHO website or, a local or state public health agency.

😭 Limit worry and agitation by lessening the time you and your family spend watching or listening to media coverage that you perceive as upsetting.

⭐ Draw on skills you have used in the past that have helped you to manage previous life’s adversities and use those skills to help you manage your emotions during the challenging time of this outbreak.

🧒 Children may respond to stress in different ways such as being more clingy, anxious, withdrawing, angry or agitated, bedwetting etc. Respond to your child’s reactions in a supportive way, listen to their concerns and give them extra love and attention.

💖 Children need adults’ love and attention during difficult times. Give them extra time and attention. Remember to listen to your children, speak kindly and reassure them. If possible, make opportunities for the child to play and relax.

👪 Try and keep children close to their parents and family and avoid separating children and their caregivers to the extent possible. If separation occurs (e.g. hospitalization) ensure regular contact (e.g. via phone) and re-assurance.

🪁 Keep to regular routines and schedules as much as possible, or help create new ones in a new environment, including school/learning as well as time for safely playing and relaxing.

ℹ Provide facts about what has happened, explain what is going on now and give them clear information about how to reduce their risk of being infected by the disease in words that they can understand depending on their age. This also includes providing information about what could happen in a re-assuring way (e.g. a family member and/or the child may start not feeling well and may have to go to the hospital for some time so doctors can help them feel better).

नौशादर (SALLAMONIAC ) के औषधीय गुण – टी.बी. के लिऐ रामबाण – यकृत और प्लीहा के रोगों में उपकारी – NAUSHADAR – A WONDER MEDICINE :

नौसादर को मैल ऐमोनिऐक (Sai ammoniac) भी कहते हैं। यह वस्तुत: ऐमोनिया और हाइड्रोक्लोरिक अम्ल का लवण ऐमोनियम क्लोराइड, नाहा4क्लो (NH4Cl), है। औषधियों में शीतक के रूप में, मूत्र लाने और कफ निकालने के लिए अच्छा समझा जाता है। आयुर्वेद के अनुसार नौसादार शोथनाशक, तथा शीतल है। यह यकृत और प्लीहा के रोगों में उपकारी है।

1- नौशादर-4 ग्राम,सुहागा-4 ग्राम और सौंफ-2 ग्राम को अच्छी तरह बारीक पीसकर उसमें 4 ग्राम मीठा सोडा मिलाकर रख लें. इसमें से आधे से दो ग्राम की मात्रा में सुबह, दोपहर और शाम को रोगी को देने से पेट की बीमारियों में आराम होता है.
2- फिटकरी,सेंधा नमक तथा नौसादर बराबर मात्रा में लेकर बारीक चूर्ण बना लें. इसे प्रतिदिन सुबह-शाम मसूड़ों व दाँतों के सभी रोग ठीक हो जाते हैं.
3- नौशादर को पानी में घोलकर ,उसमें एक साफ़ कपड़ा भिगोकर गांठ के ऊपर रखने से लाभ होता है.
4- एक कप पानी में एक चुटकी नौसादर डालकर दिन में तीन बार पीने से खांसी ठीक हो जाती है.
5- नौशादर और कुटकी को जल में मिलाकर माथे पर लेप की तरह लगाने से आधा सीसी के दर्द में लाभ होता है.
6 – 2 चावल भर नौसादर लें, जितनी उम्र का बच्चा हो उतनी मात्रा के हिसाब से हर रोज दूध में मिलाकर पिला दें। इससे बच्चे का जिगर नहीं बढ़ेगा।

टी.बी. के लिऐ रामबाण :
7- आक का दूध 50 ग्राम,कलमी शोरा और नौसादर ,पपड़िया प्रत्येक 10-10 ग्राम लें।पहले शोरा और नौसादर को पीस लें,फिर दोनों को लोहे के तवे पर डालकर नीचे अग्नि जलाऐं और थोड़ा थोड़ा आक का दूध डालते रहैं।जब सारा दूध खुश्क हो जाए और दवा विल्कुल राख हो जाए चिकनाहट विल्कुल न रहे,तब पीसकर सुरक्षित रखें।आधा आधा ग्रेन (2 चावल के बरावर ) मात्रा में प्रातः व सांय को बतासे में रखकर खिलाऐं या ग्लूकोज मिलाकर पिलाऐं।यह योग ऐसी टी.बी. के लिऐ रामबाण है जिसमें खून कभी न आया हो।इसके सेवन से हरारत,ज्वर,खांसी,शरीर का दुबलापन,आदि टी.बी. के लक्षणों का नाश हो जाता है।

8- धुले हुए छिलका हटाए हुए तिल 250 ग्राम , नौशादर 50 ग्राम , मोचरस (यह लाल रंग का गोंद है) 100 ग्राम ।
इनको धूप मे सुखाकर पीस ले। 1 चम्मच 2 समय पानी से ले। सूरज ढलने से पहले ही ले । रात को ना ले. 3 महीने तक लें.

9- तिल व नौशादर अलग अलग पीस कर रख ले। किसी पेड़ (जैसे केला, बरगद, पीपल आदि) का पत्ता ले। उस पर 5 चम्मच तिल व 1 चम्मच नौशादर रख कर मिलाए। अंडकोशों पर रात को बांध ले। ऊपर से लंगोट पहन ले। लगाने का प्रयोग 15 दिन करे ।

10 – एड़ी के दर्द में :
नौशादर एक पीस (एक चौथाई छोटा चम्मच) , गवार पाठा – आधा चम्मच, और आधा चम्मच हल्दी। एक बर्तन में गवार पाठा धीमी आंच पर गरम करे, उस में नौशादर और हल्दी डाले, जब गवार पाठा पानी छोड़ने लगे तब उसे एक कॉटन के टुकड़े पर रख ले और थोड़ा ठंडा करे। जितना गरम सह सके, उसे एक कपडे पर रख कर एड़ी पर पट्टी की तरह बांध लीजिये, ये प्रयोग सोते समय करे क्योंकि इसे बाँध कर चलना नहीं है। ये प्रयोग कम से कम ३० दिन तक पुरे धैर्य से करे। ये प्रयोग बिलकुल सरल और सर्वश्रेष्ठ है, एड़ी के दर्द वाले व्यक्ति को इसे ज़रूर आज़माना चाहिए. जल्दी आराम के लिए आप साथ में एलो वेरा की सब्जी या घर पर बना हुआ जूस भी पी सकते हैं.

विशेष.
ये प्रयोग सिर्फ एड़ी ही नहीं, बल्कि शारीर की किसी भी हड्डी के दर्द को सही करने की पूरी क्षमता रखता है.

It is alterative, expectorant and cholagogue in small doses and in large doses it is purgative. It has a marked stimulating action on the mucous membranes, increasing their secretion. It relieves hepatic congestion and modifies hepatic secretions. It is useful in cases of hepatic abscess, chronic hepatic congestion and oedema connected with liver and ovarian diseases, cirrhosis and in jaundice. It is also useful in flatulence, catarrh, chronic pharyngitis and whooping cough. It has a beneficial effect in amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, gleet, leucorrhoea and chronic dysentery.
Now a special use of Naushadar : for hairless patches on head, or other parts of body, apply a paste of naushadar powder & lemon use on the affected part, 2-3 times a day. This may work magically !
