पौधों के बीज अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन पहुंचे
नई दिल्ली, एजेंसी। लद्दाख की ठंडी रेगिस्तानी जमीन में उगने वाले पौधों सीबकथॉर्न और हिमालयी कुडू (बकव्हीट) के बीज अब अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन (आईएसएस) पर वैज्ञानिक परीक्षण का हिस्सा बन गए हैं। यह प्रयोग नासा के क्रू-11 मिशन के तहत किया जा रहा है, जो शुक्रवार को फ्लोरिडा से प्रक्षेपित हुआ और शनिवार को अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन से जुड़ गया।
इन बीजों को एक सप्ताह तक सूक्ष्म गुरुत्वाकर्षण में रखा जाएगा। इसका उद्देश्य यह समझना है कि अंतरिक्ष जैसे वातावरण में बीजों का व्यवहार और विकास किस तरह होता है। अमेरिका की बायोएस्ट्रोनॉटिक्स कंपनी जगुआर स्पेस के नेतृत्व में चल रहे मिशन ‘इमर्जिंग स्पेस नेशंसः स्पेस फॉर
- सीबकथॉर्न
इसके फल छोटे-छोटे होते हैं, जो विटामिन ए, सी और ई तथा ओमेगा फैटी एसिड से भरपूर होते हैं। इसे सुपराफ्रूट भी कहा जाता है। इसका उपयोग औषधियों, एनर्जी ड्रिंक में किया जाता है। बंजर भूमि में खेती के लिए भी उपयुक्त हैं।
एग्रीकल्चर एंड एग्रीकल्चर फॉर स्पेस’ के तहत यह प्रयोग किया जा रहा है। भारत की ओर से भेजे गए ये बीज बेंगलुरु के अंतरिक्ष स्टार्टअप ‘प्रोटोप्लैनेट’ द्वारा उपलब्ध कराए गए हैं।

यह ग्लूटन-फ्री होता है और इसमें भरपूर मात्रा में प्रोटीन और एंटीऑक्सीडेंट पाए जाते हैं। मधुमेह रोगियों के लिए लाभकारी होता है। यह पारंपरिक रूप से उपवासों में खाया जाता है।

Seeds of plants Seabuckthorn and Himalayan Kudu (Buckwheat) growing in the cold desert land of Ladakh have now become a part of scientific testing on the International Space Station (ISS). This experiment is being done under NASA’s Crew-11 mission, which launched from Florida on Friday and joined the space station on Saturday.
These seeds will be kept in microgravity for a week. Its purpose is to understand how seeds behave and grow in a space-like environment. The mission ‘Emerging Space Nations: Space for’, led by US bioastronautics company Jaguar Space, is being conducted under the leadership of

Its fruits are small, which are rich in vitamins A, C and E and omega fatty acids. It is also called superfruit. It is used in medicines, energy drinks. It is also suitable for cultivation in barren land.
This experiment is being done under ‘Agriculture and Agriculture for Space’. These seeds sent by India have been provided by Bengaluru’s space startup ‘Protoplanet’.
The responsibility of bringing back the seeds has been given to NASA’s Crew-10 mission, which will return to Earth later this month.
