India’s first cheetah safari begins

भारत की पहली चीता सफारी शुरू

भोपाल, एजेंसी। भारत की पहली चीता सफारी मध्य प्रदेश के कूनो राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में शुरू हो गई है। यह सफारी में चीतों और अन्य वन्यजीवों को उनके प्राकृतिक निवास में देखने का एक शानदार मौका है।

चीतों के अलावा, यहां तेंदुए, हिरण और विभिन्न प्रकार के पक्षी भी देखे जा सकते हैं। सफारी के लिए ऑनलाइन बुकिंग की सुविधा है। हालांकि, अभी केवल सीमित संख्या में ही पर्यटकों को अनुमति दी जा रही है ताकि वन्यजीवों को कोई परेशानी न हो। शुरुआती दौर में एक दिन में 20 लोगों को प्रवेश मिलेगा। यह परियोजना भारत में चीतों के पुनर्वास की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम मानी जा रही है। वन विभाग स्थानीय लोगों को सफारी से जोड़कर रोजगार के नए अवसर भी पैदा कर रहा है

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. India’s first cheetah safari has begun in Kuno National Park. This safari offers a wonderful opportunity to observe cheetahs and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

In addition to cheetahs, leopards, deer, and a variety of birds can also be seen here. Online booking for the safari is available. However, only a limited number of tourists are currently being allowed to avoid disturbing the wildlife. Initially, 20 people will be allowed in per day. This project is considered a major step towards the rehabilitation of cheetahs in India. The Forest Department is also creating new employment opportunities by involving local people in the safari.

Prem Rawat is set to be conferred with and Honorary Doctorate

BRAOU to hold 26th convocation on September 30; Telangana Governor to attend

Dr B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) will hold its 26th convocation on Tuesday (September 30). The event will be attended by Governor and Chancellor of the University Jishnu Dev Varma, who will confer Ph.D. degrees, gold medals, and book prizes.

Uma Kanjilal, Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University, will deliver the convocation address as the chief guest. Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice-Chancellor of BRAOU, announced that the university will confer honorary Doctor of Letters degrees on Telugu lyricist and poet Goreti Venkanna, and peace educator Prem Rawat, recognising their distinguished contributions to literature and global social welfare.

Dr BR Ambedkar Open University will confer degrees to 203 prisoners during its XXVI convocation, with two inmates winning gold medals. The university also plans to award 53 PhDs, two MPhils, and honorary doctorates to Goreti Venkanna and Prem Rawat

बीमा पॉलिसी में बीमारी छुपाई तो नहीं मिलेगा क्लेम

देहरादून, मुख्य संवाददाता। राज्य उपभोक्ता विवाद निवारण आयोग ने बीमा पॉलिसी में बीमारी छिपाने के बावजूद क्लेम देने के जिला आयोग के फैसले को रद्द कर दिया। राज्य आयोग ने एलआईसी की अपील पर टिहरी के एक मामले में यह फैसला सुनाया।

मामले में पॉलिसी धारक महिला

एचआईवी और हेपेटाइटिस की बीमारी से ग्रसित थी। मृत्यु के बाद बेटे ने बीमा का दावा किया था। एलआईसी ने जिला उपभोक्ता विवाद निवारण आयोग टिहरी के फैसले के खिलाफ राज्य आयोग में अपील की थी। टिहरी निवासी महिला ने 12 मई 2017 को एलआईसी से बीमा पॉलिसी खरीदी थी। 31 अगस्त 2018 में उनकी मृत्यु के बाद बेटे ने तीन लाख रुपये बीमा राशि का क्लेम किया था।

Dehradun, Chief Correspondent. The State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has overturned the District Commission’s decision to grant a claim despite concealing an illness in the insurance policy. The State Commission issued this ruling in a case from Tehri following an appeal from LIC.

The woman, the policyholder in the case,

was suffering from HIV and hepatitis. After her death, her son claimed the insurance. LIC appealed to the State Commission against the decision of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Tehri. The woman, a resident of Tehri, purchased an insurance policy from LIC on May 12, 2017. After her death on August 31, 2018, her son claimed the insurance amount of Rs. 3 lakh.

Self-Help Groups

A self-help group (SHG) is a peer-controlled, informal association of people who come together voluntarily to address common problems and improve their living conditions through mutual support. These groups are often composed of individuals with a similar socioeconomic background. 

Objectives and activities

The purpose of SHGs can be both social and financial, and they are especially prominent in promoting economic development and empowering marginalized communities. 

• Poverty alleviation: SHGs empower the poor, particularly women, by building their capacity for employment and income-generating activities.
• Financial inclusion: Members pool their savings to create a fund from which they can provide each other with loans at low interest rates, especially in areas with limited banking access.
• Skill development: Many groups facilitate training for members in areas like financial literacy and livelihood activities such as tailoring or small business ventures.
• Social empowerment: SHGs act as a platform for discussion, collective action, and resolving conflicts. This process enhances members’ self-esteem and helps them address shared social issues.
• Capacity building: Through regular meetings and activities, members develop management skills and gain the confidence to engage with public and private institutions. 

Common features

• Group size and composition: An SHG typically consists of 10 to 20 members, often exclusively women, from a similar social and economic background. Homogeneity within the group helps members feel more comfortable expressing themselves and interacting freely.
• Voluntary formation: Members come together voluntarily, guided by a principle of collective action, to achieve a common purpose.
• Self-governance: Groups are self-governed and peer-controlled, making decisions collectively. They often rely on five “cardinal principles,” or Panchsutra: regular meetings, regular savings, internal lending, regular repayment, and bookkeeping.
• Facilitation: While self-governed, SHGs are often initiated and supported by NGOs, government agencies, or financial institutions, which help with formation, credit linkage, and training. 

Examples of SHGs in India

• NABARD’s SHG-Bank Linkage Programme: Launched in 1992, this program connects SHGs with formal banking services, promoting financial inclusion for the rural poor.
• Kudumbashree: A poverty eradication and women’s empowerment program initiated by the government of Kerala, which encourages the formation of neighborhood groups that become SHGs.
• SEWA (Self-Employed Women’s Association): This trade union organizes women in the informal sector into SHGs to provide them with training and access to financial services

Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) is a flagship poverty alleviation program implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. It aims to reduce poverty by enabling the poor household to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities resulting in sustainable and diversified livelihood options for the poor. This is one of the world’s largest initiatives to improve the livelihoods of the poor. The Mission seeks to achieve its objective through investing in four core components viz., (a) social mobilization and promotion and strengthening of self-managed and financially sustainable community institutions of the rural poor women; (b) financial inclusion; (c) sustainable livelihoods; and (d) social inclusion, social development and access to entitlements through convergence.

The Mission seeks to reach out to around 10 Crore rural poor households in a phased manner by 2022-23 and impact their livelihoods significantly.

शंघाई, एजेंसी। एक तोते ने सबसे तेज गति से 10 रंगों की पहचान करने का खिताब अपने नाम कर गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड बना दिया। चीन के इस तोते ने 10 रंगों की पहचान सबसे जल्दी की।

तोते ने अलग-अलग रंग की गेंदें उठाईं और उन्हें उसी रंग वाले डिब्बे में रखा। यह काम उसने सिर्फ 33.5 सेकंड में कर दिया। तोते ने इस दौरान एक बार गलती भी की।

शरीर की गर्मी से बनेगी बिजली

बीजिंग, एजेंसी। वैज्ञानिकों ने रबर जैसा बैंड बनाया है जो शरीर की गर्मी को पकड़कर उससे बिजली बना सकता है। चीन के वैज्ञानिकों ने बिजली बनाने का तरीका बताया।

वैज्ञानिकों ने कहा, शरीर ज्यादातर 37 डिग्री सेल्सियस पर रहता है। बाहर की हवा आम तौर पर 20-30 डिग्री सेल्सियस होती है। इस नए रबर जैसे मटेरियल में खास पदार्थ डाला गया है

Maratha commander’s sword came to Mumbai after two centuries

में खरीदा गया। माना जाता है कि 1817 में सीताबुलदी की लड़ाई के बाद अंग्रेज ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी इस तलवार को भारत से बाहर ले गई थी। यह तलवार मराठा शौर्य, उनकी सैन्य ताकत और उस समय की कला-कौशल की निशानी है। महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने इसे ऐतिहासिक जीत बताया

Russia will launch another mission tomorrow

रूस कल एक और मिशन करेगा लॉन्च

मॉस्को, एजेंसी। रूस 20 अगस्त को बायोन-एम नंबर 2 जैव सैटेलाइट को कजाखिस्तान के बैकोनूर कॉस्मोड्रोम से सोयुज-2.1बी रॉकेट के जरिए भेजेगा।

यह मिशन 30 दिनों का होगा। इस सैटेलाइट्स को आधुनिक ‘नूह के जहाज’ की तरह डिजाइन किया गया है। इसमें 75 चूहों, 1,000 से ज्यादा फल मक्खियों, पौधों के बीज आदि को कक्षा में भेजा जाएगा। सभी के लिए अलग-अलग भोजन, प्रकाश और

वेंटिलेशन की व्यवस्था होगी। कैमरे और सेंसर रियल-टाइम डाटा देंगे, जबकि कुछ चूहों में लगाएगए चिप्स से उनके शरीर में हो रहे बदलावों की निगरानी की जाएगी।

चूहों को तीन समूहों में बांटा गया। एक समूह पृथ्वी पर रहेगा, दूसरा सिम्युलेटर में और तीसरा अंतरिक्ष में जाएगा। यह तुलना वैज्ञानिकों को बताएगी कि अंतरिक्ष यात्रा का जीवों पर क्या असर होता है। चूहों और मक्खियों के जरिए शोधकर्ता विकिरण और गुरुत्वाकर्षण की कमी का असर आनुवंशिक और कोशिकीय स्तर पर समझ पाएंगे। इससे यात्राओं के लिए चिकित्सा उपाय विकसित करने में मदद मिलेगी।

Moscow, Agency. Russia will send the Bion-M No. 2 bio satellite on August 20 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan via Soyuz-2.1B rocket.

This mission will be of 30 days. This satellite has been designed like a modern ‘Noah’s Ark’. 75 mice, more than 1,000 fruit flies, plant seeds etc. will be sent into orbit. There will be separate food, light and ventilation arrangements for all. Cameras and sensors will provide real-time data, while chips implanted in some mice will monitor the changes taking place in their bodies.

The mice were divided into three groups. One group will remain on Earth, the second in the simulator and the third will go into space. This comparison will tell scientists what effect space travel has on organisms. Through mice and flies, researchers will be able to understand the effect of radiation and lack of gravity at the genetic and cellular level. This will help in developing medical measures for travel.
