E-Zero FIR started from Delhi

Shah said in a post on ‘X’ that this system, launched as a pilot project for Delhi, will automatically convert cyber financial crimes registered on NCRP or 1930 into FIRs. Initially it will be for fraud of more than Rs 10 lakh. The related complaints will automatically be registered as Zero FIR in Delhi’s e-crime police station. It will be immediately sent to the concerned cyber police stations. The complainant will be able to convert the zero FIR into a regular FIR by going to the cyber crime police station within three days.

The process of registering FIR electronically (e-Zero FIR) will initially start as a pilot project in Delhi. Later it will be implemented in other states and union territories. This initiative will make it possible for the victims to easily recover their lost money.
