गीता से श्लोक:

“योगस्थः कुरु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा धनंजय।

भावार्थ:
योग की स्थिति में रहकर, बिना फल की इच्छा और भय के, आचरण करो — ऐसे मनुष्य को योग (समत्व) मिलता है।

नीति शास्त्र से श्लोक:

“उपदेशो गुरु गोत्राणि पितृधर्मो गुरुकुलं तथा।
यतोऽस्माभिः पितृदेवास्तत्र साधुस्तत्र मनुष्यः॥”
(नीति शास्त्र)

भावार्थ:
जिस साधु ने गुरु-गोत्र, पिता-धर्म व गुरुकुल को आदर से अपनाया — वही सच्चा मानव कहलाता है।

वेद से श्लोक (ऋग्वेद):

“आ नो भद्राः क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वतः।” (ऋग्वेद 1.89.1)

भावार्थ:
सभी दिशाओं से शुभ विचार आएं और हमारे जीवन की राह सकारात्मक बने।

सम रहना सिखाते शिव

एक जिज्ञासु साधक ने प्रश्न किया है कि ज्ञानी लोग कहते है, साधना का मार्ग तर्क और बौद्धिकता से परे है, वह कैसे? इस विषय को समझने के लिए साधना, तंत्र, भक्ति और बौद्धिकता के मूल तत्वों पर आना होगा। इसकी व्याख्या देवी पार्वती और भगवान शिव के संवाद के माध्यम से समझिए।

एक बार देवी पार्वती ने महादेव से पूछा कि साधना के मार्ग पर चलने के लिए क्या कोई न्यूनतम योग्यता आवश्यक है? शिव जी ने जवाब दिया कि जैसे हरेक कार्य के लिए कोई योग्यता जरूरी होती है, वैसे ही साधना के लिए भी कुछ आवश्यक योग्यताएं अपेक्षित होती हैं। तंत्र-शास्त्र को एक पक्षी के समान माना गया है, जिसके दो पंख होते हैं- आगम और निगम, यानी पार्वती द्वारा पूछे गए प्रश्न निगम, जबकि शिव के उत्तर आगम कहलाते हैं। निगम वह है, जो बुद्धिपूर्ण जिज्ञासा के रूप में सामने आता है, और आगम वह है, जो ज्ञान और व्यवहार, दोनों को समेटे होता है।

शास्त्रों में कहा गया है कि जो ज्ञान भगवान शिव के मुख से उत्पन्न हुआ और जिसे देवी पार्वती ने सुना, जो मत वासुदेव कृष्ण का था, वही आगम कहलाता है। इस आगम ज्ञान का स्रोत परब्रह्म या परम पुरुष हैं। कृष्ण का बीज मंत्र ‘कुं’ है, जिसमें ब्रह्मांड की तीन प्रक्रियाएं समाहित हैं- सृष्टि, पालन और संहार। सृष्टि की ध्वनि ‘अ’, पालन का ‘उ’ और संहार का ‘म’ है। इन तीनों से मिलकर ॐ बनता है, जो सृष्टि की मूल ध्वनि है। शिव जी बताते हैं कि जब ब्रह्मांड की रचना हुई, तो प्रथम ध्वनि ‘अ’ उत्पन्न हुई, जो सृष्टि का मूल है। इसके बाद ‘ठ’ आई, जो पोषण और देखभाल को दर्शाती है और अंत में ‘म’ ध्वनिनिकली, जो संहार नहीं, वस्तु को ब्रह्म

में वापस ले जाने की प्रक्रिया है। यही कारण है कि ॐ को संपूर्ण सृष्टि का प्रतीक माना गया है।

महादेव ने आगे कहा, साधना का मार्ग तर्क और बौद्धिकता से भिन्न है। जो लोग तर्क के मार्ग पर चलते हैं, वे वाद-विवाद में उलझे रहते हैं। उनका उद्देश्य परम पुरुष नहीं, बल्कि तर्क में विजय प्राप्त करना होता है। इससे दो दोष उत्पन्न होते हैं- अहंकार और प्रशंसा की लालसा। ऐसे लोग बाहरी शब्दों के गुलाम बन जाते हैं

साधना का मार्ग तर्क और बौद्धिकता से भिन्न है। जो लोग तर्क के मार्ग पर चलते हैं, वे वाद-विवाद में उलझे रहते हैं। उनका उद्देश्य परम पुरुष नहीं, बल्कि तर्क में विजय प्राप्त करना होता है।

और वे कभी महान नहीं बन सकते। महान वे बनते हैं, जो सुख-दुख, प्रशंसा-निंदा में सम रहते हैं और किसी से द्वेष नहीं करते। मानव जीवन बहुत छोटा है, उसे साधना व ईश्वर के स्मरण में लगाना चाहिए।

परम पुरुष दो कार्य नहीं कर सकते किसी से घृणा और अपने समान दूसरा बनाना। वे अद्वितीय हैं। उन्होंने ही सब कुछ सृजित किया है, जो भी हुआ है और जो होने वाला है, वे सब जानते हैं। इसलिए यह विश्वास बनाए रखना चाहिए कि परम पुरुष सदा हमारे साथ हैं।

A curious seeker has asked that wise people say that the path of sadhana is beyond logic and intellect, how so? To understand this topic, we have to come to the basic elements of sadhana, tantra, devotion and intellect. Understand its explanation through the dialogue between Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.

Once Goddess Parvati asked Mahadev whether any minimum qualification is required to walk on the path of sadhana? Lord Shiva replied that just as some qualification is required for every work, similarly some essential qualifications are required for sadhana as well. Tantra-shastra is considered like a bird, which has two wings – Aagam and Nigaam, that is, the questions asked by Parvati are called Nigaam, while the answers of Shiva are called Aagam. Nigaam is that which comes in the form of intellectual curiosity, and Aagam is that which includes both knowledge and practice.

It is said in the scriptures that the knowledge which originated from the mouth of Lord Shiva and which Goddess Parvati heard, which was the opinion of Vasudev Krishna, is called Agama. The source of this Agama knowledge is Parabrahma or Param Purush. Krishna’s Beej Mantra is ‘Kum’, which contains the three processes of the universe – creation, sustenance and destruction. The sound of creation is ‘A’, of sustenance is ‘U’ and of destruction is ‘M’. These three combine to form Om, which is the basic sound of creation. Shiv Ji tells that when the universe was created, the first sound ‘A’ was produced, which is the root of creation. After this came ‘Tha’, which signifies sustenance and care and finally the sound ‘M’, which is not destruction, but the process of taking the object back to Brahma. This is the reason why Om is considered the symbol of the entire creation.

Mahadev further said, the path of sadhana is different from logic and intellectualism. Those who follow the path of logic remain entangled in debates. Their aim is not the Param Purush, but to win in argument. This gives rise to two defects – ego and desire for praise. Such people become slaves of external words.

And they can never become great. Those become great who remain equal in happiness and sorrow, praise and criticism and do not hate anyone. Human life is very short, it should be spent in sadhana and remembrance of God.

The Param Purush cannot do two things – hate someone and make someone else like himself. He is unique. He has created everything, whatever has happened and whatever is going to happen, he knows everything. Therefore, we should maintain the belief that the Param Purush is always with us.
